The song was written about Geto from Gojo's perspective. The OP as a whole isnt completely Gojo's perspective like Rika in the bathtub lol

2023-07-29 18:08:06 +0000 UTCI know, they did a really good job fleshing out her character and endearing us to them in a mere 3 episodes.

2023-07-29 09:45:18 +0000 UTC"Throughout Heaven and Earth, I alone am the honored one" I'm just saying but if someone I killed who was known as the strongest came back to life and started quoting the buddha I woulda just accepted the L 😂 Also fun fact about that quote Nanami also used it to describe Sukuna back in season 1 when he got a glimpse of him in the episode that Yuji broke into Mahito's domain expansion.

2023-07-29 08:12:55 +0000 UTCtoji DID kill the maid, you see her on the ground bleeding out when it showed all 4 of them (geto, riko, kuroi and then gojo) all defeated when toji spared geto, when they were talking about kuroi later at the facility that was the flashback to when they first captured her last episode so unless shes just unconscious she might just be dead there 😭😭

2023-07-29 06:12:43 +0000 UTCi think that moment is what almost caused geto to snap, you can tell he too wanted to just kill them all, sick freaks cheering disregarding the fact that riko was just an innocent young girl

2023-07-29 05:52:48 +0000 UTCOne thing I love about yall's reactions are how locked in yall are. Yall are trying to pay attention to the smallest details which turn out to be big in this series. Yall's discussions at the end reflect yall's knowledge on the show and information yall have picked up on and shows yall's intelligence! Keep it up!

2023-07-29 04:25:20 +0000 UTCSeeing how sad little Megumi looks in Toji’s memory just breaks my heart 😢 Toji is a terrible person, but his story is still so tragic to me. He spends his life becoming strong to validate his own existence to the family & society that rejects him. But in pursuit of that, he gives up his relationship with Megumi & ultimately fails anyways when facing the pinnacle of jujutsu society

2023-07-28 20:12:13 +0000 UTCMonkey is a term for people without cursed energy. Commoners.

2023-07-28 19:33:05 +0000 UTCWhat if Toji becomes a curse and then Geto becomes his vessel that would be the wildest shit and then that little scarf curse has something to do with it
John Sawyer
2023-07-28 19:14:04 +0000 UTCMVP has to be the curse scarf. It needed a hug, so let's at least give it the MVP. Jokes aside, MVP is surely Gojo. He's one of my favorite characters in all anime.

2023-07-28 16:16:54 +0000 UTCBtw what Toji saw near his death was Megumi's mom holding baby Megumi ☺️ their hairstyles are similar but you can definitely see Megumi has inhereted his mom's spiky hair haha. As for Toji's past, you have to remember that 80% of sorcerer's power is their innate talent which is often inherited techniques, and in the 3 big jujutsu families (Gojo, Zen'in, Kamo) there's an even bigger emphasis on how you are treated based on what you inherit. Someone like Toji (and Maki) who has no innate talent or even cursed energy makes him absolute trash in th eyes of the Zen'in family. Hence he eventually became a villain, he was known as the Sorcerer Killer, an assassin. To him, Megumi was a blessing (literally the translation of his name) in all the shit he's had to endure during his life.

2023-07-28 15:23:03 +0000 UTCFor the mvp segment you could do a greatest supporting mvp if it makes sense for the ep

2023-07-28 15:15:59 +0000 UTC"throughout the heaven and earth, I alone am the honored one" is the coldest line from the manga! an absolutely iconic moment, glad to finally see it animated. I was hoping that it would maybe be a more impactful scene, with more dramatic music or something, but the enlightened piano was also an interesting choice by Mappa

2023-07-28 15:04:06 +0000 UTCMan I’m getting YYH Sensui vibes from Geto. As far as the contrast from how they start out to where they eventually go

2023-07-28 14:39:06 +0000 UTCToji said " you were all beaten by a monkey like me " And Geto called Maki a monkey

2023-07-28 14:37:25 +0000 UTCThe religious group just clapping with their smiley faces to celebrate the death of an innocent girl disgusted me to my core. i feel like me, and the 'strongest' duo both felt the same way seeing the religious group do that. gojo was on the cusp of slaughtering all of them but i see geto acted kinda like gojo's moral compass as people are calling it. but it seems like geto is trying his hardest to rationalize why gojo shouldn't kill them because i can feel he's finally entering his villain arc. also i love the predictions, especially about geto being a vessel to someone else entirely, which is plausible since yuuji is also a vessel for sukuna. i think this is my favorite episode of the season

2023-07-28 14:27:52 +0000 UTCsomething to remember is that Gojo tells Megumi during season one that sorcerers tend to see explosive growth instead of gradual. That's exactly what we see happen with Gojo here. Explosive growth.

2023-07-28 14:26:53 +0000 UTCPretty sure that was Toji seeing his wife holding Megumi during the flashback scene
Brandon Woodward
2023-07-28 14:24:12 +0000 UTCMvp for the episode is Geto. He didnt need to fight Toji because he failed his job but still tried to avenge her even tho he very likely knew he would lose if Gojo already failed. In the end you can see Gojo failing to see what is right and wrong and needed Geto as his moral compass. He needed to lean on him because he was in that moment lost. Sadly Gojo didnt see that his friend needed the same and left Geto in that moment alone.

2023-07-28 14:13:19 +0000 UTCAt the beginning of the series Geto said no one else understands the taste of cursed spirits like he does, even though he's seen that toji does. that was obviously a flash forward to evil(ish) geto so I think Geto doesn't even see Toji as a person at that point

2023-07-28 13:56:48 +0000 UTCI feel soo bad for Geto atm, hes struggling a lot :( Plus those clapping cultists pissed me off.

2023-07-28 13:48:58 +0000 UTCSaw this comment elsewhere: Toji left Gojo with his blessing, but Geto with his curse
