Ange you’re crushing the OST covers, this latest one might be my favorite

2023-07-16 18:00:47 +0000 UTCYeah I’ve noticed that’s a small detail that reaction channels sometimes miss since the two depictions of the sages happens before we know Father and Hohenheim are 2 different people. But them showing the clip of Hohenheim as Mei is talking about the eastern sage is intentionally there to confirm it.

2023-07-16 16:34:50 +0000 UTCIn the case of Envy and Gluttony there was no other way out. Ed would do it if there was no choice but Ed is smart enough to almost always find another way.

2023-07-16 15:27:50 +0000 UTCI wasn't sure if you guys caught this detail from episode 30 but your discussion in this episode confirmed that you missed it. The State Alchemist in the Ishval war who raised up the wall trapping Ishvalans for the infantry to gun down, was Alex Armstrong. His emotional breakdown happened after that and he was sent home. His hands aren't clean.

2023-07-16 13:56:22 +0000 UTCEd is a go-getter though. He's really focused and always on the go to find information regarding the alchemy he needs to get their bodies back. I know it's partly out of guilt, but to be like that for 5-6 years, Kudos to that kid.

2023-07-16 13:56:08 +0000 UTCIn the first episodes i suggested to keep an EYE on the characters because, as you cought now, Van Ed and Al (Father excluded) are the Last people of Xerexs. Ishvallan all have red eyes and people from central have blue eyes. Black eyes should come from the estern side of Amestrys (probably?). Now the cat is out of the bag, but these details could have led to some interesting speculations ;D

2023-07-16 13:52:59 +0000 UTCEd would refuse to use the stone. Ya, he already did it once when he made use of Envy's souls to carve a way out of Greed's tummy, but we can argue that Envy's the host and he allowed Ed to use them.

2023-07-16 13:43:07 +0000 UTC"I'm sure Hohenheim will have something to say about that" - Carlie He literally did! Remember the legend about a great sage travelling east from Xerxes to spread Alkahestry in Xing? That was Hohenheim! The one who travelled to West and spread Alchemy was Father.

2023-07-16 13:13:09 +0000 UTCFrom the intro theorizing - Ange is exactly right. Father is the first homunculus (an artificial human) in that he was created from Slave 23's blood. But Pride was the first homunculus father created. Ep 40 is also a favorite of many viewers so you're not alone :) Ed's not one of my favorite characters, but the scene in this episode and at the end of 26 when he bursts back through the door of truth are two of my favorite moments in the show. Both very powerful with great music playing in the background
