Both are considered special grade sorcerorss but Gojo seems nigh unstoppable and all powerful seemingly without even trying and Geto has to rely on amassing a huge army of cursed spirits by scrapping them up one by one in a way that is demeaning to him. I think the themes of this season are going to be what it means to strong or weak and responsibilites. Geto goes from being obliged to protecting the non sorcerers and weak humans to hating them with his very soul. Whilst Gojo goes from looking down on them as they only drag down his greatness to wanting to elevate them from being weak in the first place.

Group Q has sorcerers and wants to kill the vessel to upend the current jujutsu system, and the religious group is muggles who want to kill the vessel to preserve the purity of Tengen so they hired the badass.

I never saw the trailer but I know that during this arc they don't really make much mention of the time period, so I was just contextualizing. I remembered that the main time line was like 2018 going into 2019, but it's been forever since I read this arc. I was just trying to recontextualize the time period because I was noticing all these time frame references like Digimon that I didn't notice in my first read through.

I watched a couple of other reactions for this episode already, and they didn't realize that Ieiri was the doctor. I do enjoy how different her personality is here, though. She's so nonchalant and acts as the comic relief character (minus Gojou)

2023-07-07 17:21:30 +0000 UTCJust as an FYI as it never really ever comes back up, the main JJK timeline takes place around 2018 and this arc takes place somewhere in the late 90's to mid 2000's. So you may be right that Gojo and crew are probably around 30 years old. It's also why VHS' and Digimon are present or topics of discussion. Also flip phones. The attention to detail is great.
