i'd say this is the most realistic show, that's why amongs all the fantasy shows this might be my favorite this year

2023-07-05 06:13:57 +0000 UTCAka plays around with some dark stuff in the background of Kaguya, but it isn mostly in throwaway lines. The Ishigami backstory is also pretty dark for a romcom, donβt usually see revenge-porn brought up in many romcoms.

2023-07-04 22:13:22 +0000 UTCAlso, just an additional note since I remember Ange mentioned it in ep1 discussion, Aka Akasaka's preferred writing style is actually this kind of darker tone as in OnK. Love is War ended up being a rom com and not having such a darker tone was cause his editorial department pushed him to write a rom com instead. Imagine how that might have turned out if Aka was given free reign for Love is War also... His first manga (before Love is War) called Instant Bullet was also a pretty dark...
