a pretty great detail is that all of the things Chika tries to get Miyuki to do in episode 10 are the types of things he's likely to have done as a passtime having grown up in a poor household. He was probably terrible at all of them at first too, it just happened to be stuff that he had time to practice doing unlike all the other stuff Chika's had to teach him.

2023-06-08 01:13:22 +0000 UTCjust to clarify, basically what's happening with ishigami is that he confessed accidentally by giving tsubame the heart cookie because he didn't know the tradition of giving someone a heart equals a love confession. so he's just asked her out in front of the whole school. she had never seen him in a romantic way before and was a bit flattered and embarrassed after being confessed to like that. she was straight up going to reject him until she talked to kaguya and also saw him interact with miko- she'd never seen that more playfully argumentative side of ishigami before and it made her realise that she doesn't know him well at all. after that, tsubame says that she wishes she could give him an answer after getting to know him a little more. hopefully that clears things up without spoilers in terms of character motivations for that scene you guys were confused about! also your rivalry about both your respective theories is killing me haha. i hope you enjoy the end stretch!

Ishigami didn't realize that what he did was a confession, he doesn't know about the school's traditional story of giving a love hearted object to get eternal love. But 90% of the students (including Tsubame) saw it as a confession because they know about the story. This is why Ishigami was straight forward and not very nervous... to him, he just gave her a nice cookie XD. Oh and by the way, the other guy who was sitting with the Ramen dude was actually the driver who took them to the fireworks in the last episode of season 1 XD.

2023-06-07 20:51:30 +0000 UTCCouple 'o (spoiler free) clarifications Tsubame × Ishigami : Ishigami hasn't realised he had just confessed to Tsubame. 90% of the students know of the folk legend, Ishigami is in the 10%. From his POV, she got bored and left, now she's come back and Ishigami is really happy about that. The Miko incident : The two guys chatting up Miko were trying to nab her and take advantage of her. Ishigami and Onodera (the blonde one comforting Miko) often play mother hawk deterring such incidents. If Ishigami hadn't appeared, Miko's story could only have continued in an off brand episode. This was just Ishigami (and Onodera) being good samaritans. The Phantom Thief : You can ignore it if you want, since it is parodying detective manga/anime. You will know more when the story refocuses on Chika. The Stanford transfer : Japan's high school is equivalent to the final 3 years of school in K-12 system. Miyuki is so meritorious that he is allowed to skip the final year and continue studies in Stanford. Right now they are in the middle of their second year high school. So, Miyuki will finish his studies in Japan in about 5-6 more months and fly to Stanford. Smol request about the OPs and EDs you've said you'll do... Please pay extra attention to S1 ED and S3 ED while remembering Miyuki's speech during the moon watching part (S2E3 part 1). They are related.
