2023-05-21 23:24:50 +0000 UTCJust an FYI Einar says his father was killed when his village was attacked as a child by English troops and then when his sister and mother are killed it was by vikings so time-line wise it wouldn't add up for Thorfinn to be involved in either attacks.

2023-05-21 21:08:28 +0000 UTCIn regards to Thorfinn's dream, I think it's meant to be symbolic of what he mentions to Einar in Episode 4 when he says "I'm no different from the people who killed your family". So not that Thorfinn did in fact have something to do with Einar's family's deaths, but rather ๐ค๐ฐ๐ถ๐ญ๐ฅ have, under different circumstances. I think the reason we're shown this dream, is because Thorfinn says another line in this episode, "If you want to kill the retainers, then I deserve to die by your hand a hundred times over, too". Thorfinn is clearly feeling guilty for the person he used to be, and probably believes that he would have killed Einar and his family, had he ever encountered Einar's village. I also just don't think the timelines line up for Thorfinn to have a hand in the deaths of Einar's family. Thorfinn and Einar are roughly the same age in this story I'm fairly certain, Einar being slightly older I think. Great reaction guys! Can't wait for you guys to see what's coming next :)

Most will see this as Thorfinn punching the retainer in place of Einar because he didn't want Einar to fall into the pathway of violence like him. Others might see it as Thorfinn losing control due to all the anger and depression inside of him. Next episode will be the BEST of the entire series in my opinion. Even better then some iconic and best episodes in S1
