Did not expect that from this show!!!

Heres the link!

Episode 4

Comments

that's usually how it works with the difference between men and women and intuition. women are used to being put in harmful situations and being taken advantage of. men are usually the ones perpetuating the harm or overlooking it.

B

Because this remake was scheduled end together with the original manga, so they cut off some scenes.

Jeffery Sit

i used VRV work good for me here in the US

Karmac

Breaks my heart every time. This is a huge motivating factor moving forward for both Ed & Al and the lot of us.

DudeTrue

I just watched this episode now with the remake to keep up with Carlie and Ange's reaction, and I did remember being hit harder with what happened to Nina in the original anime. It felt kinda rushed in this remake and they were making it obvious that there's something off about Shou Tucker the whole time, but in the original there wasn't much clue.

Astor Lefflinker

I think that in the original Full Metal series it was even worse because it was at least two episodes dedicated to this storyline. So yeah, my 14-year-old self was hit by it like a truck xD

Meg B

brural! watched this when I was younger and it hit me too hard

ghostiaczku

probably the darkest this show will get. it's not all light-hearted from here, but it definitely doesn't get a whole lot worse (though that's probably not saying much considering the enormity of how dark this ep is haha)

zahra

ah yes. the much awaited episode 4

Romang

That new character is my favorite character in this show

Alijah Edwards

If you guys want for whatever messed-up reason get yourselves even worse nightmares, you should check the chimera speaking in Japanese too.

KaijinGarou

Fuck, the nightmares are coming back. Still can't stand this episode 😨

KaijinGarou

Wow, Carlie did call Tucker's bullshit very quick this episode.

KaijinGarou

'Don't speak too soon, anime person' is definitely an advice many anime people should take, Carlie 🤣

KaijinGarou

This part of the story was adapted as 2 full episodes in the 2006 Fullmetal Alchemist anime. If you think watching Ed, Al, and Nina bond during 1 episode was bad, imagine getting to know them for 2 weeks before that depressing conclusion. Ugh.

Merfhew

Hope you guys are ok after that one! ❤️ I remember watching this as a child (in earlier version of the show, FMA) and crying. It was arguably even more traumatizing because they spent several episodes at the Tucker residence instead of one.

Russell Gambardella

Ah yes… Episode 4.

Tobias Gjerlaugsen

yeah, when I watched it many years ago, I remember just feeling disgust and rage at Tucker (understandably). but now watching it, knowing what will happen from the beginning, I additionally felt sad about a man cornered and probably driven mad with poverty. obviously it's not an excuse, and he's still a disgusting human, but it was an additional layer of sadness for this episode.

Martina

this one traumatised me as an 11 year old when i first watched it 💀 fun fact, in the original manga/japanese one, the actual translation is these two souls- the original meaning was the two souls being nina and alexander rather than two human souls. the mangaka actually drew a panel of nina and alexander going to heaven and shou tucker going to hell (tbh deserved). just thought i’d add some interesting context!

redpeonies

The infamous episode 4. I hope you two are okay.

K_How

Oh boy the wanna feel miserable episode lol
