There are a lot of major differences between the two this one faithfully follows the manga while the 03 version was following it but it completely stops and just does whatever it wants, if my memory serves me like 70% of the 03 version is filler.

OK they're maybe more different than I thought but my point was they are two adaptations of the same thing and not prequel and sequel as Ange and Carlie seemed to think, and this is considered to be the better adaptation so they're not missing on anything.

In episode 1, it was the ice alchemist who had a fake philosopher stone to boost his alchemy. When Bradly killed him, it broke.

One brother wears a full set of armor and the other only has one metal arm and leg that are usually covered. We can't blame people for always getting them mixed up but it's very funny, specially because Ed takes it as a personal offense.

Guys, I think the "previous" show is just a different adaptation of the same story. I'm not 100% positive because I too started with this but only so you know you're mot missing on a whole different show. They do things differently of course but it has the same characters, plot and stuff. It's just the same at the end of the day but I've been told many times this adaption is better.
