Some of the characters are actual historical figures that we know for sure existed, while others are amalgamations of people who may have existed and folk heroes/mythological figures from that era. The big picture historical events, major battles taking place throughout the show, and the timeline are completely accurate but many details have been filled in or embellished just because we don't know the specifics of what actually happened

2023-03-23 05:09:44 +0000 UTCMy own interpretation of why she said she's elated is because she saw how other people are capable of so much evil and, in comparison, her stealing a ring is nothing. So I think she felt that since her sin is so small compared to what Askeladd and his crew did, she felt that she can still be forgiven and redeem herself.
