I don't think that's how Thorfinn feels at all, as he only gets upset at Askeladd when Thors is brought up because Askeladd is the one who killed Thors, and seemingly shows no remorse or respect for Thors. When his father is brought up in a more positive light, as we see in this episode, Thorfinn isn't quick to anger, but rather is shocked that people actually respected and know of him. I'm sure Thorfinn is upset about the reminder of his father's death, but it's not his most forward facing emotion in the scene where Thorkell talks about Thors. There's another scene that proves this point as well, but I won't spoil what's to come.

He already knew how strong his father was, especially with the line he said to Askeladd after Thors died "My father was so strong and he got killed by you because you used dirty tactics" something along those lines. So I think it just gets him more upset to remember how great his father was but because of dirty tactics by Askeladd, he got killed.
