2023-02-21 11:21:56 +0000 UTCIf you've seen a lot of anime, good or bad, you can immediately tell that S2 has some poor animation sequences. A lot of the action scenes tend to skimp out on frames by not showing an action, using still shots, and cleverly using SFX, specifically impact sounds, to make it seem like a lot is happening I don't know much about the technicalities of animation, but I'm assuming this is a common animation technique studios use for budget shows (I've seen this used in a lot of other shows). They also slightly blur the action shots which makes the scene look worse, imo. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoyed S2 overall, but saying the animation isn't bad is a major understatement, especially considering how popular the show is worldwide.

2023-02-21 11:00:39 +0000 UTCI never understand why some people trash-talk about season 2. I think it is excellent. The animation is not bad; the thing is that season 1 is on a completely different level. So if you compare, the season two animation is not as good, but it is not bad by any means.
