2023-02-22 21:16:20 +0000 UTCAs for why Thors didn't kill Askeladd. Aside from his personal philosophy, don't forget the archers on the cliffs. If he killed Askeladd they surely would've unleashed their arrows and potentially killed everyone there, including Thorfinn.

This show is a historical fiction, but still relatively accurate in dates, battle names/outcomes, and characters. On top of Leif, Thorfinn, Floki, Thorkell, Canute, King Harold, King Sweyn, and several others are all real, historically documented people. Vinland Saga is a real book/story of Nordic history and legends, in fact, while it is amazingly fascinating to read about, the show follows that history closely enough that looking it up may present several spoilers!

2023-02-17 19:21:54 +0000 UTCThis show has S tier animation/soundtrack and it is on the same level of storytelling/character writing if not higher than AOT for me personally. I never thought I'd see something move me more than AOT, but this show is just a masterpiece. Isayama (AOT creator) himself has stated that he admires Yukimura (Vinland creator) a lot and has taken a lot of inspiration from him.
