2022-12-02 00:59:40 +0000 UTCFurther, if you consider why Yuri does the work he does, it is literally to A) take care of his sister since she took care of him all his life and B) to protect the county his sister lives in. It's kind of sweet and potentially a bit neurodivergent coded that both the siblings are oblivious to certain things but are incredibly protective about their families and go into attack mode if there is ever any threat to them (which is what Yuri thinks of Loid initially). And to be fair, Yor is pretty sweet and gullible so if you were her sibling and learned she was secretly married for a long time, you'd probably be pretty suspicious that the man she married was taking advantage of her in some way too.

Yuri is twenty and his sister has been his whole family (mother, father, sister) for his whole life so he is extremely attached to her. He does encourage her to get a boyfriend and so on, but I think the jealousy is creeping in because to him, his person got married and didn't even tell him for a year and has a whole new family and will no longer just be his family. Him being a bit obsessed with Yor is for humor and him wanting to marry her as a child was the way kids sometimes want to marry their opposite sex parent when they're young because they love them and want to be around them forever, without any understanding of what relationships and marriage mean beyond that.
