October Movie! Halloween theme!

Hey Golden Jellies! Itโ€™s for some movie suggestions and this will be our first themed movie month as per some of your suggestions!๐ŸŽƒ๐Ÿ‘ป

Comments

I would recommend: 9 (Tim Burton) Coraline (Tim Burton) Brothers Grimm (Starring Heath Ledger and Matt Damon)

Cailyn B

I think It's already been stated, and I even commented on the post agreeing with the movie choice, but if sub-threads don't count, I'll comment directly. I highly recommend A Quiet Place! Perfect for suspense and thriller but without crazy gore or nonsensical boring plot lines that can be typical of cheesy overdone horror films.

Haxxy

Haven't seen Felidae (we are talking about the German animated mystery film, right?) and Little Shop of Horrors in decades! ๐Ÿ˜ So many great films resurfacing for me in here! Love it!

Im too easily scared to suggest a classic horrific movie (though those can be fun to watch) so im suggesting these! I'd be excited for a Tim Burton film: Edward Scissorhands, Corpse Bride or dare I start a debate, but Nightmare Before Christmas (cuz that's totally a Halloween movie) - for light spookiness and all wholesomeness. For corniness, Army of Darkness if you're willing to skip Evil Dead (1981) and Evil Dead 2, though I loved ED2. Warm Bodies was a surprisingly cute movie for a zombie film too :) Looking forward to the film you guys do!

Rabbid Dawg

Tim Burton's Corpse Bride is good if you've not watched it! Great movie for the holiday! Also, Beetlejuice!

Bryonna Yates

I think a quiet place with Emily blunt and John Krasinski is a very suspenseful movie that that plays well into sound art and engineering (ange would love) and has a lot of nail biting moments for them even though it is not for the faint of heart in terms of emotional drain and suspense but we're talking about aot and demon slayer survivors here :p

Cyber

The Thing(1982), Evil Dead 2, The Lost Boys, The Descent, and The Ritual. Donโ€™t choose one just watch all of them easy.

Jason

The thing is fantastic or alien if they haven't seen that

Callum

Veronica, a Spanish movie. Fit the theme I think

Sharifah Alghamdi

I remember watching that movie as a kid. Truly a masterpiece

Sleepy Hollow is a must see every year for us๐Ÿ˜. Fav Tim Burton movie for me! Great cast with Christopher Walken at his prime! ๐Ÿ˜œ Also love Signs and Sixth Sense. Maybe not a typical Halloween movie but I like the tension in it. When Shyamalan was still on top... If that is too soft for you and you don't plan to sleep afterwards go for The Ring. Great film, but physically exhausting when I watched it the movie theatre.. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

MasterOfPuppets

I havenโ€™t seen a lot of the classic 80s horror movies like The Thing, Nightmare on Elm Street, etc. I think any of those would make a for a fun watch

FTN Chicken

OK well if your going off the Halloween theme which I assume is the case then some suggestions are The descent Cabin in the woods Little shop of horrors Felidae Donnie darko

Callum

That's also not Halloween related really lol

Callum

How's that Halloween related

Callum

We usually choose our favourite 5 from the suggestions ๐Ÿ˜Š

Hey ange and Carlie, can you post if you have some restrictions or preferences? Like "no horror" or "scary is ok, gore no" or "let's keep it animated" or "let's do a classic vs \ new one" or "nothing too depressing or religious" or "hey let's make it a Halloween comedy murder mystery" or etc or do you just want us to suggest random movies or so and wing it?
