Also, to answer your questions Carlie and Ange: you're right that she had to let Joy get the OPTION to make her own decision, vs forcing her to stay or forcing her to go. Only then did she support her and pulled her back in. As for the end, she told becky to grow her hair similar to telling joy that she's getting fat: at the beginning of the movie, becky told joy that this is how her mother tells her that she loves her, so becky looked at joy at the end in acknowledgement that joy's mother is accepting her and likes her by telling her to grow her hair. And finally, at the very very end, it's an open ending. She may be enjoying her moment and watching where she is, but it's also something that Jobu said and its that "you will never be able to come back from having your mind fractured and being everywhere at all once". So she may have been watching her other lives calling out to her, but Daedrei called her back into this one to pay attention by accident. And yes, this show has many meanings, but particularly the word that carlie was looking for in the discussion was "Generational trauma", and what Ange was looking for was the concept of Nihilism. It's often misquoted as a concept, and it has its flaws, but the point of the movie is the line they kept repeating all this time. Basically it's to stop being careless and cruel because ̶"̶N̶o̶t̶h̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶M̶a̶t̶t̶e̶r̶s̶.̶" but instead shift to understand that ---> "Nothing, Matters." ... IT MATTERS. To you, to someone, to anyone. Those little things of nothingness are what you should cherish so you can make the best of what you have in this life.

She also starred in Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, some 007 films, The Mummy, and even Kung Fu Panda. All the scenes when she's on the red carpet with all the paparazzi and the fancy Hollywood film debuts, those were from her actual real life and they were incorporated into the movie as just another "version" of herself. I think it's really cleverly done how they presented her actual nonfiction life as if it was just a possible fictional reality of her character in the film.
