House of the Dragon Episode 4 REACTION!

It could also affect the newly "healed/defrosted" relationship between Alicent and Rhaenyra if A. finds out who gave Viserys a "push in the right direction" accusing her of approaching V. on purpose... ๐Ÿ˜‰

I think that Rhaenyra telling Viserys that he needed to get rid of his hand was the reassurance he needed to act upon his thoughts. I'm sure since Viserys married Alicent, he had been catching onto Otto. Otto has been pushing his luck and with his families pressure to do so, it makes it hard for Otto to be in a good position with the king anyways. You can tell in episode three that Viserys is annoyed with Otto and his politicizing nature. I'm really excited to see what this does to Alicent and Viserys relationship after this decision and if Rhaenyra will drink the "tea". The episodes end with so many questions!

@Bryonna: Thanks for writing down my thoughts! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ I agree with nearly everything you wrote. Alicent gained a lot of sympathy from me in this episode. The only thing that bothers me is: It just takes Rhaenyra to tell the king about Otto to get him fired? Well, life would have been easier if she (or someone else) told him earlier ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‰. And you are absolutly right about the spoilers in GoT! Haven't read the book for this show yet, but I remember some of the names nevertheless. This must be from GoT or The Song of Ice and Fire books. According to the YT comments season 3 should be avoided. I will not check on it though to avoid spoiling myself... ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‚

Felt like I just watched the most expensive soap opera episode ever made.

I love the reaction & discussion you two! I love that you went back and looked the parts over again. Thank you! It really added to the discussion and having more of your thoughts is always appreciated โค๏ธ Sir Cristen Cole has been such a great character so far. I feel so bad he was put into this position where he was forced to abandon his kingsguard vows. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Alicent seems to me like she cares deeply for Rhaenyra and she wants to see her have a good life in this shitty world. Her being caught in a brothel with her uncle could destroy her reputation and limit her options in marriage in which Alicent has been invested in getting good matches for her. Oh man when Viserys called out Otto! My heart was racing! I didn't feel bad because all of what Viserys said was true and Otto really did send Alicent to "comfort" the king and Otto tried to say it was false. I really like the idea of Duty vs Pleasure with Alicent and Rhaenyra. It's so clearly represented in this show. Alicent has always tried to be a proper lady throughout and Rhaenyra constantly fighting her realm duties to do what she wants. Rhaenyra did seem like a spoiled brat in this episode. Daemon is the loosest unit! You just never know what's on his mind entirely or what he's gonna do! Leaves you on edge everytime he's on screen! Matt Smith is doing so good as Daemon! I love it! Be careful rewatching GOT there's spoilers for HOTD! I don't remember what it is but I would hate for y'all to spoil yourselves.
