We didn't know why Eren was there, he started to threaten Reiner and he was SO cold. Willy Tyber was saying secrets and we thought Reiner and Eren would team up but then the handshake and the lighting appeared and war was declared π€― I felt like I was like Falco. An hostage for 30min and I was sweating

Isayama said in an interview that he had difficulties writing romantic scenes and got too shy to write Eren and Mikasa kissing when he was writing the chapter "scream". He said he was young but he realizes it now that he is married. I think the audience can feel it a bit because it looks like he would avoid anything romantic a lot because he didn't know how to include it
