Attack on Titan 4x25 REACTION!

Did y’all know jean was imagining a life with mikasa???

ETT

I never realised, thats such a cool detail

I love how in the end the group was able to “leave the forest”. Fun fact: Floch’s last name is Forster which means “occupational and topographic name for someone who lived or worked in a forest”. He and people who think like him (yeagerists) will always remain in the forest.

Rei

This episode highlights what the ideal is. A world of differences all coming together and uniting. You speak on Eren doing whats necessary, what of the innocents hes killing? they make up 99.9% of the ppl hes killing. you see the story through erens pov, thats the ONLY reason any jeagerist chooses his ideals, without his sentiment (that he put on himself) anyone with a stable psyche would see eren as the biggest villain of the series, which he is

Cloudburst

The branches were an artistic choice to show they are “in the forest”, which is the message Mr. Braus gave.

woops that comments on the wrong video lol

in connie's defence, laughing histerically in panic attacks or in shock IS a thing. There's actually a lot of real footage of soldiers laughing like that bc of the shell shock. And if you rewatch the show and look for it, you'll see connie responds like that a lot in earlier seasons, that's just how he deals with bad shit.

Jjj.

haha. People call the end scene "Cringe" because in the Manga it was alot more corny than it was in the anime. I will agree that in the manga it kinda was cringe, in the anime it was actually pretty bad ass imo

the shots of the trees " in the forest" and branches intertwined and blocking the sky. this is them deep in the forest as Sasha dad would say stuck in the things that divided them and caused hate. As they aired out their problems you can see more of the sky and and trees seem far away to represent them "Leaving the forest" it was really quite cinematic and deep

Miki

Your pre-watch discussion, Ange especially, pretty much echoing the same thought I had before too. Annie was really savage on Season 1 and everyone were “quick” to forgive, especially Mikasa (knowing how long he was bitter towards Levi for kicking Eren). You can say Connie reaction is justified because he was not part of any battle involving Annie, and he also laugh inappropriately during the battle of Shiganshina. It is also awfully convenient that Levi is not awake with Annie there, knowing how she massacred his comrades.

I know there were a lot of background shots but this episode was so important and well placed. How Marcos last words could still apply to the past, present and the future. Isayama really dropping some knowledge down each time.

Cation

I still don't get how it's cringe. If it is, then why are people watching reactions to a scene they don't like? "Saving the world" is in line with the discussion that eren and reiner had in episode 5. It's contextually correct. They joined forces because "they had no other choice."

Samuel Wallace

Such a nice insight. I want to believe that is true and was intentional on the part of Isayama and the animators. Eren feels he is doing is the only way to go, but his friends feel the only way to go is to stop him. It's a very sad juxtaposition, but an inevitable one. It's why I always wondered how Eren ever thought his friends would be ok with his decision to wipe out humanity. People acting out of fear and only worrying about their own lives is what got everyone into these predicaments to begin with. What will happen once Eren kills everyone? Titans will still exist. Human nature is human nature, and the Eldians will develop into factions as they expand into their brave new world. One faction will gain control of more Titan shifters than another to dominate other factions. The cycle continues, it'll just be between Eldians.

Not done watching, but if Armin transformed when he got shot he would've destroyed the flying boat and killed Connie

yes! i was both feeling sad FOR ange because he feels like he needs to justify his opinion. No one is right in this, there's no right or wrong answer, that's kinda the premise of War and a theme of this show.. Even when you're presented "main characters" from season 1 and an enemy, you then see the POV of that enemy and you realize it's an escalation of an escalation of an escalation etc. That's why I kept asking ange "who do you think the enemy is." because there's no clear enemy, there's no good vs evil, and no one is right... it's just a grey area splatter of opinions and beliefs, much like the real world, but at the end of it, this episode just kinda dropped right after to give ange some answers and to highlight the fact that yes they were enemies before but people need to focus more on what they have in common with their rivals and what THEY have done as mistakes themselves to them as well, so that an understanding can be made, even if it's not a loving one, it's a "lets try to be civil for now" approach. Ange you were saying that you didn't like how Connie just kinda greeted annie, but if you think about it, Connie was just about to feed a kid falco to his mother. He's coming off from being rock bottom with his actions and he was about to do something horrifying because for him it meant to save his mom. Annie did horrifying things as well, and in her mind it was to also save her dad by doing her duty and returning to him. Are they both right? No. They both made bad decisions, and connie just kinda saw annie stuffing her face, a face that he's long seen as an enemy? suddenly that face is just being goofy and full of pie, and it might have triggered those childhood memories they had of eachother in training... maybe it might have felt a bit dissociative to just laugh casually and not feel anger to her... but connie's been dissociating for the last few episodes especially since sasha died, and he's making more and more tough decisions because he's not just following blindly and hoping for the best anymore: he's realizing everyone is wrong, including him.

I love Jean ❤️❤️❤️

Bryonna Yates

omg the discussion at the beginning was perfect knowing how this episode would play out lol

Georgie Acero

If look closely during that scene in Jeans daydream The Woman also has a small scar on her cheek. That boy has had the biggest crush on Mikasa since they were recruits. His OVA is a fun one too. Wether you do a video on it or not it’s definitely worth watching. Jean top 3 characters 💜

Jean-Luc Baca

The branches represent the forest that they need to get out from, like Mr Braus said. If you notice, at first the camera was showing deep inside the forest (the logs etc) and while they were talking, it was moving towards the sky, like things are clearing now.

pan dan

All hail King Floch! In all seriousness, it amazes me people think that sitting around a campfire and talking will solve all problems. All it did is highlight why there's no chance for peace in the long run, and Eren is doing the grimly necessary work of survival.
