A Silent Voice REACTION!

This movie is so good, such a good movie and pretty emotional. seen plenty of anime shows but hardly any movies too

the movie is very beautiful, i went to watch 3 times in cinema for this movie, and watching this again with you guys for the 8th it's still incredible the message this movie trying to portray. even though this is late, i want to point out that you guys might miss is the scene Ishida's mom apologize to Shoko's mom and came back with a bloody ear, it implies that Shoko's mom asked for a similar exchange that happened to shoko,(her scar) and not just money for the aid hearing. it's beautiful that when the situation reversed later on, Ishida's mom was quick to forgive the whole family, want nothing in return. alas, great movie to react and love you guys.

Oh wow! We did not know that... The dub was actually very impressive considering some of the other dubs we've heard. This was probably one of our favourite of all the movies we've reacted to on Patreon!

Just joined your patreon to watch this and your name. My two favorite anime movies to date. I enjoyed the reactions. I personally prefer the dub over the sub, although the "I love you" vs "The moon" does get lost in translation. The real confusion is because of the word "Suki", which translates to "Like/Love" or "I like you/I love you" vs "Tsuki", which translates to "The Moon" The two words sound a lot more similar in Japanese than in English, so it's much more reasonable for Shoya to get the two confused. Fun Fact, the English voice actor they hired is actually a deaf actor, so the voice of Shoko is an authentic deaf voice from the English dub.

4 months later im watching ur reaction again, this is the only movie thats able to bring me t knees

Beautiful. Very well depicted how the author made x's on peoples faces when Shoya wasn't looking people in the eyes. I know its part shame, regrets, anxiety etc.. as an introvert I also had issues in school blocking the world out and not looking at people when responding. We all have to learn to forgive and love ourselves :)

I love that you watched my favorite anime film, a bit bummed though that it wasnt in sub because there are a lot of dialogue that isnt quite right or doesnt make any sense. I relate to Ishida the most, I wasnt nice to some people in school and it haunts me still sometimes. Over the years ive tried to become a better person but I still question myself if I have any right to have friends, fun or even live. Being tormented by mental ghosts can be very scary sometimes but Im trying to cope with myself as best as I can. Fun fact, the japanese voice actor made visits to deaf people to learn how to mimic their speech for this film!

*SUSPENSE* …..Relief Ange: “Ok good, because I was about to threaten the golden jellies. They were not going to get to vote for a movie ever again.” I was laughing so hard! xD so glad to be a jellie. That reaction was priceless guys!

LOL, sorry for the pain that most of this movie may have caused, but the ending always brings such an immense feeling of catharsis for me :') I've been struggling a lot myself, and it's been exhausting these past 7 years or so. However, it's movies like this that give me a lot of hope, that maybe someday I can reach the point of living, and being happy for each day that I'm here. Thank you both for reacting to this, it's videos like yours as well that help me get through each and every day <3

Haha yeah I’ve definitely noticed! Very enjoyable though

Glad you guys enjoyed the movie a very character driven story which is aways great. Some things, the movie is based off of a manga so unfortunatly A LOT of content was cut for movie time. Hence why the 2nd half of the movie can feel sorta rushed especially the time period where they all become friends again. Also don't worry Ange its a pretty common trend to get new anime watchers to react to a lot of sad movies and shows.

My favorite scene in the movie is when Ishida saves Nishimiya from falling. I particularly like Ishida's inner dialogue, when he realizes that he never apologized to her.

We're so sorry to hear that! Thanks for sharing. Hopefully all of that turns around for you sooner than later ❤️

I can relate to this movie so much. I was bullied in school because of my speech impediment. Everyone would be inpatient with me and not let me finish what im trying to say. Even today I still am nervous that someone will make fun of me still. This Movie literally breaks me. Not many people listen to my voice still. So I have to rush what I say and it makes it worse.
