And maybe it was because of the interaction with the founding being in another non royal blood body. but he was defiantly bound at first.

This situation could never occur previously as the founding titan was never owned by a non royal blooded eldian as it is with eren now so zeke was in the perfect place at the perfect time for it to not affect him at all

In the previous episode Gabi asked Colt what it was and Colt replied "an anti-titan rifle" In short, Gabi took the rifle from Colt's corpse knowing that Eren would try to reach zeke. Gabi is pretty slick and strong-willed (just like Eren) it goes to show that she's really a warrior taking advantage of the moments Reiner and Eren were fighting

Tho he is Royal blood he does not directly possess the Founding Titan . Eren does , hence he arrived to the coordinate without even being tainted in the first place

Thats my main question, is I wonder how much control the founding titan and royal blood has over EXTREMELY diluted eldian bloodlines.

2022-07-24 15:58:20 +0000 UTCEvery founding titan holder who has used the power goes to the paths realm and orders the founder Ymir, which was not known by Eren or Zeke which is why they both assumed that since Eren held the founding titan, he would be able to use the power. Zeke saying he arrived without being bound by the first king is because he did not have the founding titan in him, so he had no access to the memories that bounded previous founding titan holders. Basically him and Eren touching made a loophole for Zeke to be able to contact the founder Ymir without actually owning the founding titan, thus not being bound by the will of the first king. Hope this clears things up! Love the reactions!!

2022-07-24 15:54:30 +0000 UTCThis is definitely important though since after seeing Ymir's backstory we know that literally every single subject of Ymir is a descendant of Fritz which means all subjects of Ymir has royal blood. The differentiating factor here than has to be the purity of the royal blood. So we can only assume that the royal family passed down through incest while others got too diluted.

Like Carlie said, Eren (founding titan) was not there so Zeke (royal blood) spent a lot of time there alone with founder Ymir. Zeke noticed that he could command Ymir because he is a royal blood even without Eren. that's just it. the vow renouncing war was always carried on because the founding is always royal blood, so there was no time for this kind of revelation.

That’s basically how he found a loophole to gain the power of the founding. Yimir will always listen to their orders.

I can see why it was never touched on though because if you start overthinking technicalities it becomes way too muddled and hard to write for, plus largely irrelevant. Still though. Im curious nonetheless. Ive always wondered just how much the founders influence matters when it comes to genetic level. As we know Reiner is half marleyan and half eldian, and it clearly effects him, right? But just...how far does that go? If you have one parent whos 50/50 like Reiner, and another who's 100% marleyan, I wonder if it still effects you, despite being only 25% eldian. And you can push that thought further, what if theres someone who had an eldian ancestor a century ago. Like if you were 1 - 5 % Eldian. Is it the same, or does the power lose its hold due to genetic degredation? Again, these are questions that dont even need to be answered and are irrelevant, but have me curious nonetheless. 🤔
