2022-07-18 18:41:33 +0000 UTCI really like how Ange brought up Debbie being the equivalent of a one-night-stand for Nolan, it’s a thing a lot of reactors tend to overlook. What Nolan’s done is absolutely inhumane and terrible, but when we look at it through his POV, he’s been instructed from birth as a near-immortal, several thousand year old warrior trained to conquer planets (kinda like how the Maryleyans were brainwashed to think of Paradis as devils). For him, this was the equivalent of your boss at work telling you to clear out an ant hill as a pest exterminator in an afternoon, which if you think about it, we as humans often see no issue with that even though ants are still living, breathing, and somewhat intelligent beings. There was one problem for Nolan though than Allen brought up with him leaving his post, during those 20 years (which would feel like a single day in our lives), he learned to care for Debbie and Mark which was his biggest weakness.
