Hope you guys get well soon! Also, noticed during one frame in the episode that this is the original release of the episode and the edited Blu-ray release. The edits are very minor so no worries if you guys are fine with this version, though it does fix a few noticeable things and improve on others. Not sure where to find a stream of it if the streaming sites don’t use that version, or if you guys are able to find a psychical copy of the season somewhere. Either way, just wanted to let you know if you hadn’t already!

They actually got treated like people. And every single day they see the people who respect them suffer because of what they did that day. That's gotta be hard to take when you're a child.

She told Kenny he is her dad and she was born from a dieing woman in a bar. She probably heard pieces of rumors and thought she put it together thinking Kenny was the father and not the uncle, and she could convince him he was the deadbeat runaway father she assumed he was. Thats what's the scene made me think. It was done better in the manga.

But the Tyburs are essentially the Marleyan Royal Family, with Willy as the King - but operating entirely behind the scenes - think a "constitutional monarchy".

2022-06-28 13:59:09 +0000 UTCI understand you guys are ahead at this point so you may have already picked it up, and hopefully this isn’t a spoiler, I always struggle with what would be considered one, but I think there might be a little confusion about the relationship between Marley and the Eldians that live there. The Eldians in Liberio are being forced to stay in the internment zone that was built specifically to keep them separated and secure. It’s not so much that the Eldians there are representing Marley, but that they’re more or less being forced to serve them. I don’t think it’s been discussed so much in season 4, but in Grisha’s notebook( and memories) it’s shown that the Eldian’s are all terrified of being seen as stepping out of line because they along with their family have the fear of being sent to Paradis as titans. Some, like Gabi, have really bought into the Marley mindset and are trying prove that they are “good” Eldians, while others are complying simply for the safety of theirselves and their family.

2022-06-28 13:46:54 +0000 UTCso an interaction you missed between eren and falco. season 4 episode 1 or maybe 2 when the general yells boom at the line of eldian soldiers and they all fall over. eren is in that line of soldiers and falco not only helps him up but notices his arm band is on the wrong arm and fixes it for him.

Eren says his name is Kruger making his full name Eren Kruger (the same name as the Owl) He hid his name because he knows Zeke has the same last name just part of his disguise.

For your question near the end about how Falco and Eren met up, back in episode 2, when the soldiers were arriving back in Liberio and re-uniting with their families, Falco asks about the line-up of traumatised soldiers (remember the cruel guy that yelled "Boom!" to freak them out?). Eren was standing in that line, and Falco helped him up and fixed his armband. I'd say from there Falco would've started visiting Eren at the hospital. I also wanted to point out something you guys missed last episode, during Reiner's flashbacks. Reiner and Bert were talking, and asked Annie for an opinion, to which she said "Huh? I wasn't listening." She ran off and then it showed a close up of something she'd been squishing on the ground with her foot. Carlie thought it might be a flower, but it was actually a bug. Later in the episode we see Annie kick the shit out of Reiner. I think it's meant to be a bit of a hint towards her character, being brutal and uncaring. She killed many scouts as a Titan back in season 1 in a similarly cruel way, squishing them like bugs. It also relates to some symbolism from waaaaay back at the start of the show, when Mikasa saw a similar bug eating the butterfly as a child, and it made her realise that the world is cruel. Well, here Annie is the predator, and now the bug is being killed. Interesting to think about, and gives some more insight into Annie's character.
