Yeah it’s not his fault that his circumstances are complicated, but he’s fully aware of that and is still involving people emotionally knowing they will often not be the priority. At that point that’s his fault.

She is saying that she understands that life is complicated, but she didn’t sign up for the sort of relationship where commitments continue to be broken and where the excuses are consistently sketchy. She lets him know that if things are going to continue like this, maybe they shouldn’t be a couple, but he commits to do better. You don’t have to be a bad guy to be a bad boyfriend
