I'm so glad all the important things like the name of the show (Attack Titan) and Eren's motives etc., have been addressed by the wholesome community. So I try not to add up more comments there. I wish you guys happy binging and take it slow with the S4. S4 is probably the most polarising season of any show I've seen. This is where the show has changed how people view the world, me included. It's incredible what the shows have done.

2022-06-18 16:57:00 +0000 UTCI get people joking about Eren killed the moment there but I just really wanna say it was a really huge moment for eren himself and some might not get that. So, although seeing the sea is both eren and armin’s dream, the way it works for the two of them is quite different. Armin as a curious and inquisitive character in the show was just obsessed with the concept or the existence of the sea. So being able to confirm/ witness that it actually exists was already dream-fulfilling for armin, hence a happy moment (and probably also to the other scout members). But, to eren, it’s not the sea itself, but more like the action to see the sea or the ability to do so that is what important to eren. To him, being able to get to the sea represents freedom. So it would be easier to understand that, when eren got to the sea and realized that everything is the exact opposite of what he had dreamt (which is, when the day had come for him to be able to go to the sea, all of them will be free and happy), how disappointed and frustrated he can be. Actually to me, it’s one of the most heartbreaking moments for eren in the entire series because I think that’s the moment all the dreams and hopes he had crumbled. It’s kind of the same when eren talked to armin prior to the audience but didn’t get to finish his sentence. For all time he believed that freedom lies outside of the walls, but after he sees what happened to Fay and grisha, he realized that this dreamy freedom was nowhere to be found. Sorry that I’m all over the places. My English really fails me sometimes.

So when he finally saw the sea port and ocean he knew all the other stuff he saw must also be real. So he knows there is an advanced enemy looming and his freedom is still unsure. His people are just in a bigger cage now.

It's sad actually, like he said, everything is exactly like his memories up to that point which means he already saw rhe sea. But I thought I would have been nice to let Armin enjoy it a bit more.

But also the last memory Historia sees is Ymir in chains. Kinda like Eren was when he was captured by Rod, so yes, this means she's dead.

Everyone enjoying the sea but not Eren, cause he knows what's out there. And Armin holding the Seashell. Even in the ocean, the symbol that had represented hope and freedom in Eren and Armin's minds for so long, there is a creature trapped in a shell. Nothing has changed at all.

2022-06-17 16:09:32 +0000 UTCyou still seem to be confused about some details which is understandable everyone was so i suggest you rewatch (again) episodes 20 and 21 so that the info sinks in a little more (No spoilers).There is only one more titan that you havent seen yet and the 2 titans that "couldnt be controlled" were the attack and the founding titan which are both in the possession of Eren thats why Marley doesnt have control over them. Titan shifters only live for 13 years after getting their powers because Ymir Fritz (the first ever titan shifter) died after 13 years of getting her powers so its kind of like a curse. Its mentioned in episode 21 but you didnt seem to remember it thats why im mentioning here. Also going into season 4 the first opening is completely safe to watch there arent any spoilers in it so i hope you have fun watching!!!
