We're so happy to have you here! The smiley titan guess was a complete fluke in episode 19.... at this point I had been speculating almost every blonde character was the smiley titan. Episode 20 made it a bit more obvious when she walked out of that room!

So I joined this rabbit hole with you because you had good taste and your Arcane reactions. The line that Caitlyn says, "this cycle of violence will never stop", is much more apt here than Arcane now. And the way that Carlie, just guessed Dina as that Titan is insane. All that from a Photo. Even Zeke I can, probably guess at this point. But the smiley Titan, that was as uncanny as the Titan's themselves. Way to go, Carlie; and now that the intro is over, get ready for the show.

my fav episode of seasons 1-3, is because they finally explain everything. I literally watch reactions JUST to get to this point in the show. So strangely satisfying since it all makes sense. Then you watch season 4 and this episode makes even MORE sense lol I love this shit

The 7 titans are the titans under Marleyan control such as the armored, colossal, female, beast, etc.. The two that aren't under their control is the Eren titan and the founding titan.

Eldians are basically world war 2 jews - hated by the world and locked in these small areas. Similar to world war 2 they are considered monsters, however, the Eldians can actually transform into monsters and that is why the world fears them.

I think you shouldn't care much about the different colors of the eyes of the titans. In my opinion these are just artistic effects when they make them red like that. You know like they did with Sasha in saison 1 ep 3 if you remember.

The Owl mentions this in episode 21 but there are blood tests to determine if someone is a Subject of Ymir. Basically even if there were Eldians who weren't Subjects of Ymir 100 years ago their descendants in the present day wouldn't admit it and would claim to be Marleyan. Any Eldian who isn't a descendant of Ymir would be able to safely pass the blood test.

Subject/s of Ymir and Eldian are used interchangeably but don't mean quite the same thing. A Subject of Ymir is anyone who is descended from Ymir. Being Eldian is more of a nationality/culture thing. All Eldians are Subjects of Ymir but not all Subjects of Ymir are Eldians depending on who you ask. Subjects of Ymir are hated in large part because they are seen as monsters because they can turn into Titans. Which scares the crap out of people. About 100 years ago Eldia was a nation. I'm guessing that most if not all Eldians were Subjects of Ymir but even if they weren't in the present day to most people Eldian and Subject of Ymir mean the same thing.

The speech between General Gross (That disgusting guy who ordered the killing of Fay) is actually an interesting speech. It's towards us viewers, breaking the fourth wall about how we find killing to be amusing. I mean, he's not far from Eren who want's to avenge the world by killing the titans. Isayama was very particular about the shot being framed like this with Gross looking into the camera and therefore at the audience.

Remember inside the walls, there was a King Fritz (same family name as Dina) who turned out to be a fake when Reiss was the actual royal family. So what happened here is that the Reiss family actually IS the original Fritz family. They likely changed names and hid from the spotlight so it would be difficult for the Marleyeans to locate the founding titan if they do come to fight. This should also explain why Uri shares the same philosophy as it is passed down through the founding titan by the king who built the walls. Also, the clothing and stuff is different in the walls just due to the natural progression of civilization after memories got wiped. For example, they invented ODM (which doesn't exist in the outside world) because that's something that's desperately needed.

Not a spoiler: But Eren has 2 of the 9 powers in him so there's only one titan left. And there is no reason behind Grisha's titan appearance its normal for there to be little variations between titan shifters

Pliz make sure that you understand everything said in these couple of episodes before going into season 4 you can rewatch these episodes as many times as you want and each time youll find out smth new that you missed so make sure that you got most of it sorted out in your heads!!

The thing I liked about this part of the revelation is how complicated this story is. I first thought that it was gonna be a clear revelation of bad (other guys) vs good (our guys). But the story is much more complicated than that. On one hand you have marleyans who see eldians as a threat because they can turn into titans at any moment(with just a bit of spinal fluid), and thus need to be segregated and kept a close eye on. And on the other, we see eldians in general who are paying the price of the crimes of their ancestors, because they happened to be on the losing end of a war that happened 100y ago, which logically no one should have to go through. Two different perspectives of one story and no one really knows the real truth. Truly an amazing way to build up a story.

great theories, one small point i would say is that please do not pay attention to how a titan looks, it depends on the person controlling the titan, if Grisha’s Titan looked like a Daddy, it was purely a design choice of the creator, no newd to look into that, otherwise you’d be asking questions like ‘What if a guy ate the female titan’

Out of the nine titans we have seen eight so far. The Shredded(I'm guessing you already know the official name), Colossal, Armor, Female, Founding(Eren has it), Beast, and then Scout Ymir's titan and the one who walks with four legs who's names haven't been revealed yet.

Ange noticed some of the people that got turned resembled beta titans from the earlier in the show. Im sure you guys noticed after the second watch but all the beta Titans that were Grisha’s friends were the titans that annihilated Eren’s squad in the first few episodes. You can see the Santa Claus Titan and others among them!! And the reason Dina went for Eren’s house and ate Carla was because she said “I’ll find you no matter what form I take” - she was looking for Grisha 😭😭 Love how this show/manga makes every small detail matter.
