I genuinely feel like the Mirror Man OVA is crucial for the end game story. But no rush into that one, I just wouldn’t want you guys to miss it!

All OVA's are basically safe now, so don't worry. I wouldn't recommend "A surprise visitor" as it's basically just a comic relief episode with a bit, but not much character development going on. I really liked "Distress", but watching it now won't add much I think. It's basically a flashback to the training arc and shows the characters before their own respective arcs start taking place. If you're interested in watching what they had to endure during training it wouldn't hurt to watch. The "Lost Girls" OVAs give some background into Annie and Mikasa respectively. Annie's has two parts (Wall Sina, Goodbye) and shows her POV from inside Stohess District and builds her character some more. I would recommend these two parts, especially if you want to like Annie's character some more. Lastly, Mikasa's OVA is the third part to the Lost Girls collection and zooms in a bit into the relationship between Mikasa and Eren. I honestly struggle to call this one exactly "canon" for reasons I can't explain without spoiling the episode, but nonetheless it's actually really interesting. So my recommendation (if at all interesting) would be to watch the three Lost Girls OVAs, especially Annie's, with "Distress" as a possible aside should you be interested.

I think all OVAs are safe to watch now. Even though they are not canon, I think they all are great for your overall experience. OVAs focus more on the side characters and get us attached more to them. Jean vs Sasha is hilarious. Others are more or less in a serious tone but still with a bit of humour as well. I can't wait (also afraid of your mental wellbeing) to see you guys finishing this season.

I think you guys should watch the distress OVA episode, where they go more into the training of the 104th cadet corps, it’s rlly good and shows character growth and actually in a unique way ties the story! And I think you guys should watch lost girls ova too, they go more into detail about Annie, to be honest I will say react to all the ova episodes as they are rlly fun episodes but definitely should watch the distress ova episode and the 2 episodes of lost girls ova.

I think it's time to watch all of them, you should record your reactions to all 3 Lost Girls (Goodbye, Wall Sina Parts 1 and 2, and Lost in the Cruel World) as they give insight into Annie's background and Mikasa mindset. However, the other two (The Sudden Visitor and Distress) you could see on your own, they're pretty funny but dont add much to the story.
