2022-06-05 19:01:29 +0000 UTCRegarding Connie: I think for me (without considering future seasons) Connie is half of the Connie and Sasha twin pack. I love how every time Sasha hears something he's cupping his ears trying to copy her for example. They just have a really fun dynamic together. On the re-watch I'm sure you'll both pick up a lot more of these moments. On his own up to this point however I agree he hasn't been given much screen time except as a victim, but such is the curse of such a large ensemble cast. They have to pick and choose who to focus on at what points (hence Levi getting benched in season 2 etc imho)

2022-06-05 12:24:24 +0000 UTCI love Connie! I like his personality traits; heβs one of the kindest characters, often one of the first to help someone, and extremely loyal. He values trust and his friends highly, which is why, along with Eren, he was most affected by Bert & Reinerβs betrayal. He's not a badass or the smartest, most βspecialβ character but he represents your innocent, goofy, naΓ―ve, every-day guy going through this.. I do get why at first glance he seems to not βgive anythingβ but I think his innocence, friendship & kindness at this point of the story are important to note for how they add to certain themes in the show later down the line.

He still remembered that his mom was eaten and that he lived a normal life before episode 1, the only thing he seemed to forget were his immediate memories, particularly eating Grisha, does that make sense?
