Attack on Titan 3x12 Credits
Added 2022-05-28 17:21:31 +0000 UTCSo we're very close to filming our reaction to the end of Season 3 Part 1 and we've been made aware that there is quite the divide in opinions as to whether or not we should be watching this episode in its entirety.
First of all, we'd just like to preface that no matter your opinion, let's all please keep everything very respectful, especially here on Patreon! You are all helping to build a lovely community that we are proud to be a part of!
Now, as for the credits scene, we've heard everyones opinions on the matter, and we're leaning towards watching it, as we think that the scene has been put there because it is intended to be viewed. We have no idea what it entails, but what is the general consensus here on Patreon? What do you all think? The unfortunate part of all of this is that we can't please everyone, which totally sucks. But if people click on this episodes reaction on Youtube, they're also likely to expect us to react to this episode in its entirety.
Let us know what you think down below!

Watch it!!!

2022-06-04 22:21:20 +0000 UTCEp12 ending scene is special, and its not a "whats gonna happen on next episode" kind of thing like usual, for the full experience, I PERSONALLY suggest watching the ep 11 wnding abd comparing it to the ep 12 ending.

2022-05-31 13:47:43 +0000 UTCIs aot episode coming out today?
Allen Valdes
2022-05-30 17:57:10 +0000 UTCIf you watch it, as the show intended then don't overthink the scene. just enjoy it and don't pause frame by frame to understand what happened. it's meant to make you speculate, not to take your full focus.
Charles Malo
2022-05-30 09:16:45 +0000 UTCI agree, some people are getting very passionate but it's really not a big deal at all! Do whatever you like
Effi
2022-05-29 21:06:10 +0000 UTCThere is by at least the episode before. I've seen reactors e.g kat and sonny figure it out
Effi
2022-05-29 20:38:28 +0000 UTCDidn't even know there was an end credit scene
Naxxyo21
2022-05-29 20:23:25 +0000 UTCNah, there's not enough context in the scene to figure out what happens before it happens.
Gabriel Barott
2022-05-29 20:20:21 +0000 UTCWatching it will be a lot of fun, not watching it won't ruin the show. I'm shocked that this is such a heated debate. Just do what you think is more fun for you guys.
William Francom
2022-05-29 16:40:12 +0000 UTCIf you do decide to watch it, you should make it the last episode you watch that day. Don't start episode 13 immediately. Let it marinate a little bit, because it is truly juicy.
Josh Knoebel
2022-05-29 16:08:28 +0000 UTCI say do what you want. Watch it or don’t watch. I’m sticking with you guys either way. But think of it this way, why would the show put in a scene and if it wasn’t intended for it to be viewed?
Kevin Franco
2022-05-29 15:26:32 +0000 UTCI think your first point does not make sense. If anything, the people who say don't watch it are the same people that told them to skip the opening song.
Zakwan Khidzir
2022-05-29 14:11:30 +0000 UTCI genuinely think you shouldn't watch it. Treat it like one of those "Next on AOT" segment. They often spoils what's coming because the viewers at that time had to wait a loooong time. Since you will watch that spoiled moment soon, I don't think it's worth it. If you compare it to the "titan inside the wall" post-credit scene back in Season 1. That moment was just mystery as a teaser for the next season. This S2 post-credit brings nothing but drama.
flyingbread
2022-05-29 13:44:52 +0000 UTCThe remaining OVAs; (Take place during or between their training as Cadets). A Sudden Visitor: The Torturous Curse of Adolescence Distress (Before the end of S1) Wall Sina, Goodbye: Part One Wall Sina, Goodbye: Part Two (Before the end of S3 P1) Lost in the cruel world
Asylum
2022-05-29 13:27:25 +0000 UTCI think you should definitely watch it. I don’t really see the point of censoring the show. You have already watched things out of order or changed from the manga. Just enjoy the show as is.
Shelby Baumann
2022-05-29 13:01:07 +0000 UTCWhen do the remaining OVA’s take place?? We’ve forgotten unfortunately! We’re happy to watch all of them at some point! 😊
Carlie & Ange
2022-05-29 08:44:43 +0000 UTCI'd say it's okay to watch. Just don't go back and look at it frame by frame or anything and you're fine.
Anders Pike
2022-05-29 07:21:39 +0000 UTCI vote watch it. People honestly over think it, watch it, forget about it and move on. I watched season 3 pt 1 and 2 in succession and watched the credits scene and it had virtually no bearing on my viewing experiece. It only would if you think about it too much.
Trent_88
2022-05-29 07:18:51 +0000 UTCWill you guys be covering the Lost Girl OVA's in between, or are you putting them off?
Jake Thompson
2022-05-29 07:03:21 +0000 UTCI think you should skip it it because I honestly believe you guys will have a better experience of pt 2 not seeing it. Of course it's up to you guys and whatever you choose is fine 🙂 To give you an idea of what to expect without spoling, you will see a scene involving some characters that appears later in pt2 and with no context it will have you quite suprised/confused. It's a really cool end credit and I do get why people enjoying seeing the reaction to it but you will have it in the back of your mind whilst watching pt2 and you may figure out what's going to happen before it happens due to that scene.
Effi
2022-05-29 06:48:22 +0000 UTCExactly! People who say it's a spoiler is same bs like people who think earth is flat
Turza
2022-05-29 06:36:41 +0000 UTCI've never liked that scene. I understand why they put it there(for those who would have to wait until the next part of S3 came out) but I feel it takes a bit away from the impact and speculation to come. It definitely builds hype though but as someone who watched it and then saw the next part right after it took a bit away. If it wasnt so fresh in my mind it wouldnt have bothered me. Either way theres so much more past it that will keep you both surprised so do what's best for your channel!
D
2022-05-29 05:22:57 +0000 UTCi believe u should watch it because it is part of the experience. and as u said before people expect u to watch it when they clicked on the video. when u watch other reaction channels u will notice that ep 12 got lot of views because of that scene a lone (i wanted to make a brief comment because ik u guys gonna read a lot of comments but i rally wanted to explain why u should watch it)
Dandy Lad
2022-05-29 04:52:05 +0000 UTCI think you should skip it, let’s the season and events unfold in a way you won’t expect.
Chris Gutierrez
2022-05-29 03:50:34 +0000 UTCI think you sholdn't watch it because is spoiler. It's like a hint that tells you what is going to happend.
SaT Aku
2022-05-29 03:11:51 +0000 UTCyou should watch it, it's intended to be watched. Besides, i don't think it's a spoiler at all.
Tien Nguyen
2022-05-29 02:07:33 +0000 UTCI think you should watch it, it was meant as a hype up for the break in between season parts but it is also good to watch to hype you for what you are going to see
TomNook
2022-05-29 02:02:41 +0000 UTCWatch it!
Jean Carlos Saladin Lorenzo
2022-05-29 01:30:02 +0000 UTCSeems overhwlemingly that everyone is saying watch it. 100% agree. It adds so much to the excitement of the show, it's well worth the risk of spoilers. As a part of the AoT experience, it is right up there.
Coco
2022-05-29 01:11:17 +0000 UTCI'd say watch it but don't let it loom over your theories and whatnot too much. The only drawback I can anticipate is that you'll end up trying to tie the scene into the story over and over before it actually happens and it'll cloud your judgement otherwise, but that's up to you guys to determine. I agree with the view that it's produced that way and it's meant to be seen, though the context was different at release. But considering season 3's pacing being pretty light speed, I think the original context of the episode's release can be reconciled.
Eric Rafael Medina
2022-05-29 01:08:09 +0000 UTCno it doesn't its completely confusing
Danyal
2022-05-29 00:57:17 +0000 UTCIt just leaves you curious and it is a fun scene. No spoilers and you will only remember that scene when it comes you will likely forget it till then.
Brandon Valentin
2022-05-29 00:50:36 +0000 UTCI say watch it. Even if you're able to discern part of what's happening, it's impossible to know exactly what's going on in the scene. It was an awesome moment when watching it live on release and trying to figure out what was going on and to sort of have that hanging over you as you start season 3 pt 2, and I think you would regret missing out on that experience if you skip it.
Epsilox
2022-05-28 23:44:53 +0000 UTCJust an opinion I'd say it was put there intended to watch by the creator if you were watching it at the time of release. I think if you guys are watching it you should be aware that if you watch it your experience watching through season 3 will definitely be changed compared to if you didn't watch it, you are aware of something happening later in the season that you otherwise wouldn't be. The way its done is a bit cool but its not crazy or anything. 100% spoilery if anyone considers watching trailers spoilery (which I think is true). I really don't think this is comparable to the intros or outros at all. I'd vote for not watching it, and if you want coming back and watching it after season 3 p2. If you do watch it I definitely think it is a watch only once and don't analyse
kevin
2022-05-28 23:15:01 +0000 UTCI say watch it - the author intended for all post credit scenes to be watched - as they are key to the pacing of the story. He wouldn’t spoil his own work. If you have no context and haven’t already watched the anime / read the manga the scene spoils very little - if anything it adds tension and excitement going into one of the best pasts of the entire series.
Siege XIII
2022-05-28 23:14:03 +0000 UTCThe scene is meant to be watched; but so are the end of epsiode previews. You would come out better staying to the way in which you like to approach your viewing process.
roy wiggs
2022-05-28 23:10:58 +0000 UTCThen you missed out on one of the highlights of this season...
Turza
2022-05-28 22:38:06 +0000 UTCUhhh wtf I'd say no. I didn't even know this existed, I'm glad I didn't watch it before season 3 part 2. It'll make you guys have a theory throughout the entirety of part 2 that you really shouldn't have until the time.
BDR
2022-05-28 22:34:54 +0000 UTCThe scene is part of the episode so its makes no sense to skip it. Without any context all the scene will do is create a ton of questions which in my case increased my excitement for the episodes to come.
Rachael Mulondo
2022-05-28 22:33:13 +0000 UTCAnd what about the comment that it's one of the highlights of whole S3 P1 and it doesn't spoil anything since they have no knowledge of what's happening and till it happens in next season they won't know... I am so shocked that people really find it as spoiler...
Turza
2022-05-28 22:25:22 +0000 UTC"For me the ending scene has a potential for massive spoilers" Only because you have seen next season already... no way you knew what's going on when you first watched it " It doesn’t add anything to your reactions" Except it's one of the most requested thing to react to from S3 P1 "it’s utterly pointless to watch it." My friend binged all of AOT few weeks ago and that ending gave him such chills and its now one of his favorite things in whole show... it's really well made
Turza
2022-05-28 22:20:09 +0000 UTCI'm an advocate that if you're going to watch a show, you should watch all of it, intro, outro, previews, all of it - the creators don't include them for no reason. They're there to enhance your viewership. Anyone who acclaims there are spoilers in intro/outros etc. are generally people who have already read the manga and/or already watched the show and so can connect the dots, they know what XYZ means, people who have never read the manga, or watched the show before, unless they plan to sit their and disect the intro (outro or whatever other scene), second by second, frame by frame, will not generally understand what they're seeing - and only after actually seeing it in the show, will it make sense. In reference to this specific scene in 3x12, you are right, it was put in as a tease because there was a 6month+ wait for those of us who watched it as it was being released. The scene doesn't spoil anything, and is without context, it doesn't detract anything from the show and if anything would make the viewer "want" to continue watching, it's a small 10second-tease, nothing more, nothing less.
Asylum
2022-05-28 22:19:42 +0000 UTCI say don’t watch it. The argument that «the creators intended it to be watched» is only true for those who had to wait a year for it to come out, to build up suspense, bot when you can just turn on the next episode the minute after
Lt_Laz
2022-05-28 22:17:49 +0000 UTC"It's definitely a spoiler, that is just facts since it depicts furture scenes." With that logic, that scene at the beginning of S3 Ep1 would also be spoiler
Turza
2022-05-28 22:17:02 +0000 UTCwatch its ok more teory its fine
ogrim weu
2022-05-28 22:04:24 +0000 UTC1. The people that say to watch it because it doesn’t spoil anything are the same people that will tell you to skip the opening song because it spoils too much. For me the ending scene has a potential for massive spoilers so I strongly advise against watching it. 2. It doesn’t add anything to your reactions, in fact I think it detriments it because you know of one thing to expect and can’t concentrate on what’s in front of you as well as if you hadn’t watched it. 3. It was put there as a tease for part 2 because of the 6 month wait in between seasons. You guys could watch it straight away so it’s utterly pointless to watch it.
Sean Carroll
2022-05-28 21:45:55 +0000 UTCI have seen many complaints
Sean Carroll
2022-05-28 21:39:39 +0000 UTCWatch it! It's intented to be watched by Hajime Isayama himself and it doesn't really spoil anything because theres no context.
Moe Abd
2022-05-28 21:33:06 +0000 UTCCarlie & Ange don't read this Personally for me what was great about that scene wasn't just the scene itself but how they integrated it into the actual credits. Plus the scene they showed had bits cut out so it might still be interesting to watch too. Which is why I think it's still a must watch even if they decided to skip it first.
KOOAH
2022-05-28 21:17:04 +0000 UTCIt was always intended to be seen, so I definitely recommend it! If you were to skip it, there would never be any reason to go back to it.
Gabriel Barott
2022-05-28 21:14:34 +0000 UTCIt's definitely a spoiler, that is just facts since it depicts furture scenes. Watching it would be a good reaction, like a lot of comments points out. My opinion is that, its put there to get people hyped for season 3 part 2, snice there was a long gap between seasons at the time. You guys have the luxury of continuing straight away. If it was intended to be watched now or never, is up to each their own. It will be good reactions either way. You would just have a bit more info for future episodes.
Stryfe
2022-05-28 21:07:22 +0000 UTCI can understand this perspective, but watching it at a later point would be pretty meaningless. If they were to skip the 3x12 credits scene, there would be no reason to go back to it in the future, other than to just see something they've already seen.
Gabriel Barott
2022-05-28 20:46:42 +0000 UTCIt doesn't spoil the rest of the season at all, it was intended to be seen at this point.
Ashley
2022-05-28 20:28:23 +0000 UTClol its part of the episode, how can people be upset about you watching something that was intended to be seen? Some people are ridiculous. Do whatever you want, we support it!
Jordan
2022-05-28 20:19:42 +0000 UTCYup watch it but dont think too much of it watch it and move on you dont need to analyze it because it will just confuse you...Just watch it and move on🤣🤣🤣

im__JAM
2022-05-28 19:39:21 +0000 UTCVery well said, It's very important to keep this community united, however that end credit scene was intended for all viewers to watch it. So they might be upset but I'm sure they'll let it go and appreciate your reaction. I once saw about 7 reactions to episode 12 just for the end credit scene so I think it's important for you guys to react to it as it can bring new subscribers that will help the channel grow. You two have been doing such a great job reacting and theorizing that I want to see what you guys think about the end credit scene. Looking forward to it. Take care and much love as always to all ❤️

David
2022-05-28 18:46:23 +0000 UTCJust to echo what everyone else has said - the scene has absolutely no context and will simply raise a hundred more questions, that being said, it will only further make you want to keep watching! :D
Asylum
2022-05-28 18:36:55 +0000 UTCit's true, everything in the show is there to be watched, regardless of spoiler status it's also fun to experience it just like we did 4 years ago
David Sikes
2022-05-28 18:36:44 +0000 UTCThe ending is already edited to the point it’s not a spoiler and there’s no context whatsoever. So you guys can watch it
Drai
2022-05-28 18:28:04 +0000 UTCYou should watch it because it is not actually a spoiler. It's shown in a way that you will have no idea what's going on until you get to that part.

2022-05-28 18:26:05 +0000 UTCWatch it.

2022-05-28 18:26:03 +0000 UTCYes, absolutely, please watch it. As far as reactions go, I certainly consider it to illicit and vert strong one. 🤣
CastSenpai
2022-05-28 18:22:28 +0000 UTCIt was put there because we had over a year of waiting. Which you guys don't have. I'd honestly advise against it because I think any perceptive person would be able to discern what's happening which greatly spoils the surprise. But I'm a minority apparently and at the end of the day you guys should do whatever you feel like ♥️
Meg B
2022-05-28 18:16:18 +0000 UTCWatch it. You won't regret it. Also good for the channel and futures viewers looking for that reaction.

2022-05-28 18:03:48 +0000 UTCI think the contents of what is preview is better left unexpected vs anticipating when it will happen and why.

2022-05-28 18:00:00 +0000 UTCWatch it. It is there for a reason; it is intended for you to speculate. That's what made it enjoyable!

Carlie & Ange
2022-05-28 17:41:14 +0000 UTCOne more point, it’s a part of the show. Where is the line drawn for what to watch and what not to watch? Would it make sense for people to tell you to skip a part of an actual episode because of the foreshadowing? No of course not, that’s silly. It’s laid out in a way to where you really can’t guess what is going on, the only people that did guess it at the time we’re manga readers. One more last point, that post credit scene made for some of the best reactions on other peoples channel, so there’s that
GB3
2022-05-28 17:40:29 +0000 UTCtbh it could be a potential spoiler, but that's if yall theorize too much about it. it's fine to watch it, as long as yall don't theorize too much lol. i say watch it cuz it's kinda cool
MJ
2022-05-28 17:39:14 +0000 UTCI say watch it once and leave it at that
Aaron S.
2022-05-28 17:38:54 +0000 UTCI've seen others figure out some significant future events from this credits scene, so I would say if you are going to watch it, try not to overanalyse it! Let it get you hyped and move on to S3 part 2 :)
Sachal Khan
2022-05-28 17:36:42 +0000 UTCI would prefer you skip it personally, However it is a bit of a coin flip really as to which you will enjoy more, and i think most of your audience is dying to see your reaction to it so watching it is probably better for your channel :)
Anna Kyruin
2022-05-28 17:35:22 +0000 UTCWatch it. We all did. They put it there to be seen.
Kevin Brown
2022-05-28 17:35:01 +0000 UTCEven with all the controversy, you two should ultimately do what YOU want to do at the end of the day. Like you said, you can't make everyone happy, so at least put out the content that you want to put out. Sorry if that sounds preachy.. I just think it's important to the quality of content creators. That being said, definitely watch it. Lol
Joseph Kwon
2022-05-28 17:33:10 +0000 UTCYou guys should definitely watch it. It’s laid perfectly so you really have no idea what is happening. You can make any and all assumptions you want to about what is going to happen but until it does you won’t have a clue. Your reactions are great either way!! Love you guys!
Scott West
2022-05-28 17:32:53 +0000 UTCI think you should watch it

2022-05-28 17:32:15 +0000 UTCi think you should watch it as well!
Henriette
2022-05-28 17:31:33 +0000 UTCIt's a scene from next season which, without context, you won't know what it is about. It gives you sneak peek to vibe of the the next season, what to expect from it, and gets you hyped for it. With this info, you can decided what to do with it, but I'd like for you watch it all.
Alchyy
2022-05-28 17:30:51 +0000 UTCYou should watch it. It was included in the show, and is part of building the suspense and excitement for part 2 of the season. It's also a huge reason why many people click on reactions for that episode, so your channel would likely benefit from it. Just call it a business decision 😜 It truly isn't a spoiler at all. The only reason someone might think it is a spoiler is because they have already watched ahead, and know how it fits in. No important information is shown.
Josh Knoebel
2022-05-28 17:29:33 +0000 UTCGreat reply!
Joseph Kwon
2022-05-28 17:28:37 +0000 UTCI would prefer you guys watch it now. That being said, if you want to please as many people as possible, I do think a fair compromise could be skipping it for now and reacting to it after completing the rest of the season

2022-05-28 17:27:49 +0000 UTCI’d say go for it because it’s actually a pretty unique thing that they did and it had the entire community blowing up when it was first released. But I’d understand if you didn’t watch it because it does kinda sorta spoil you a little, not gonna go into detail obviously but if you want the most pure/blind reaction to the second part of season 3 I’d say skip it. Up to you tho, I think most of us just want you to do what you’d feel like you’d enjoy more honestly.

2022-05-28 17:27:35 +0000 UTCContext is key and most people don’t understand what a spoiler is. If I show a picture of a can opener by its self with no context, it’s not a spoiler even if a Main character is killed with a can opener down the line. The post credit scene is a scene from later in the series with no context. The fun comes in realizing how the hell did things get to that point. Same thing goes for the season 3 part 2 OP. You’re fine to watch that after the second episode. They show some big moments but to someone who has never seen the show before, there isn’t enough context to know what it means. I went through the OP frame by frame. The only thing that you might be weary of is the season 4 part 2 OP

2022-05-28 17:25:40 +0000 UTCI've always disliked that scene, It's FAR too spoilery, It works to stir up some predictions and such, but it was designed to be seen weeks or months in advance to the actual scene so it wouldn't be so fresh in your memory, as reactors at this point I'd suggest skipping it, but that decision comes down to you!

2022-05-28 17:25:39 +0000 UTCIt’s there for a reason. In the end, do what you want. We’re the supporters, you’re our entertainment.

2022-05-28 17:25:35 +0000 UTCI think it definitely something you need to watch, it spice the whole things up, I can't wait to hear your theory about it

2022-05-28 17:25:32 +0000 UTCAs you said other people that find your reactions will expect you to have watched it and if you don't, expect the comment section to be loaded with people telling you that you missed it. I say watch it but just watch it once and move on. I guess you'll have to see it again when you edit but leave it at that and don't pause your way through it dissecting it.

2022-05-28 17:25:19 +0000 UTCYou're going to want to watch it. It is one of the most unique watching experiences I and most others have seen and doesn't spoil much of anything, just builds hype for what's to come.

2022-05-28 17:24:50 +0000 UTCAs you have no idea what's happening in that ending, you won't get spoiled, but just hyped up for next season... only reason some people take it as spoiler is because they have seen next season and now understand whats shown there... but objectively it doesn't spoil you on anything.

2022-05-28 17:24:41 +0000 UTCI think it’s meant to be watched. I haven’t seen any other content creator skip it and there were no complaints. You should be fine.
