2022-05-19 05:43:33 +0000 UTCI've been avoiding posting comments since I started watching your Attack on Titan reactions because I was afraid of spoiling something. I wanted to clarify something about one of your theories regarding Mikasa and Levi that I think you got wrong but is left pretty open ended even by the time the series ends so there isn't much to spoil. As far as I know Levi and Mikasa are related since they are both Ackermans. However how closely or distantly related they are is never established. They could be first cousins or second or third cousins. It's almost certain they aren't siblings but I could be wrong about that. This was brought up in season one but there isn't much ethnic diversity behind the walls. There was a clan of asians - probably less than a hundred people - who Mikasa is descended from but her mother was the last full blooded asian. Asian women were seen as exotic by corrupt and perverted nobles in the interior which is why sex traffickers attempted to kidnap Mikasa's mother only to kill her by mistake. Mikasa as a half-blood was a consolation prize (not considered as valuable). Just to be clear because a lot of people get this confused Mikasa's father was an Ackerman and her mother was the last remaining full-blooded asian. However Mikasa is related to Levi it is on her father's side. I'm pretty sure that neither of Mikasa's parents are Levi's parents for reasons that will come up later in the series but I could be wrong.

There's a couple connections in this episode. Quite honestly, I believe Sasha's skills are overlooked way too often. She's a hell of a marksman...her hearing is amazing...she's a pretty damn good tracker...it all comes from her background...from hunting. She really is a champ. Love me some Sasha!! Congrats to Ange!! I was waiting for this reveal. Lol. Good call, Man.

I'm genuinely impressed that both Ange and Carlie picked up on at least some of the information that flashed abruply. It's very hard to miss. The first time i saw that episode i was drinking my coffee and it all happened when my cup was up... i never knew about the very nice easter eggs until my second watching when i was fully focused :P

If one of them ate Eren, it would be much easier for Reiner and Bertholdt to capture someone who has just inherited his abilities and might not know how to use them. It also puts another part of Bert and Ymir's conversation in a different light -- Bert says something like, "Eren doesn't remember who he ate either." Re: Historia's mother, it's clear that Historia is Rod Reiss' illegitimate child with her mum, a sex worker. She despised Historia because Historia's existence meant she had to uproot her life and live in secret on this estate, and her life perpetually in the balance because she is Historia's mother. Rod Reiss was almost ready to let the MPs slaughter Historia to keep the whole thing a secret, but devised the new idea of Christa Lenz at the last minute - why would he want to keep her alive in secret?

She then had historia and they lived a quiet life on the farm that rod owned. As historia mentioned rod came to visit her just a few days after wall Maria was destroyed in episode 1.
