god, rewatching your reactions just made me realise how early on Isayama had set up the main themes in this series. it's honesl so so brilliant. I strongly suggest you guys do a rewatch of the entire series after you finish season 4 (after a break of course lol). you really notice so many things you missed previously. even with all us annoying commentors lol.

2022-05-17 22:59:55 +0000 UTCI would just like to suggest taking note of the people Sannes listed here when talking to Hange about them dirtying their hands to keep the peace. It's interesting later on. That is all on that subject. I know you guys have mentioned it before, but I truly do recommend watching the dub when you finish. Even if you just do it on your own time and don't do a reaction (though, I do hope to see a reaction)...I highly highly HIGHLY recommend it!! You can catch some of the little things that may not have been clear or that you may have missed. Plus, it's good to re-watch this show at least once, in my opinion. Hell, I might even go as far as to say it's necessary. SO MANY things make SO MUCH more sense!! Great reaction! Glad I decided to come over instead of waiting. :)

In this universe, killing another human is seen as an even more egregious crime because of their situation. It's titans vs. humans, so for a person to easily kill another is extremely disturbing, hence why Eren's backstory was so shocking during the court case and why Kenny is seen as such an almost mythological boogeyman. Each person is valuable, given the limited availability within the walls, and the ability to take another life is seen almost as a severe defect no matter the reason.

It also pioneered a new technique blending CGI and hand drawn, can't remember exactly how but there's youtube videos on it. Note if you read this Carlie and Ange don't look that up,, cause you will likely see a making of a different scene instead which is in season 3 pt 2. FYI there is a small sequence which took 1 month to storyboard and 3 months to animate, iconic scene in AOT.
