2022-05-14 11:41:22 +0000 UTCSome things I love about this episode: Ymir goes on and on about living only for herself, but in a short timespan she's been constantly selfless. Reiner and Bertholdt, in an earlier episode, said they couldn't guarantee Ymir's safety if she came back with them. The contrast between Ymir looking up at the night sky when she became human again, and looking up at the night sky now that she's potentially surrendering her freedom again... this time, it's HER choice, to give her freedom in exchange for helping others. Another thing to note is that Mikasa's confession seems to come at exactly the wrong time, but once Hannes was eaten, Mikasa genuinely believed they were both going to die. She believed it was her last chance to tell Eren how she felt. The slowing down of time, the beautiful moment among the chaos and death, was so stunning for me. It's amazing how, without giving you the full context as to what's going on, an episode can still be so devastatingly good.

2022-05-13 18:24:12 +0000 UTCyeah i understand what Ange is saying about Eren seemingly abandoning his friends, bc at the end of the day Eren has a truly unimaginable need for freedom, it is what motivates him the most and he disregards everything else for it. BUT his want to protect Mikasa and Armin is very prominent as well, he loves them dearly and a lot the actions he takes are for them :)

2022-05-13 18:18:53 +0000 UTCThe Lost Girl episodes 1 and 2 can be watched any time after season 2, wherever you want to fit them in. However, Season 3 is VERY DENSE. I recommend having the notebook out for the episodes and the editing, there is A LOT of info, some of it fairly subtle or easy to miss as it can go by quick depending on the subs you're using. Good luck and I look forward to the next chapter of your adventure into AOT!

2022-05-13 14:48:47 +0000 UTCI think Mikasa confessed because she thought it was over and they'd die hence the goodbye kiss, that's what I thought when I first watched it. But Eren wanted to protect her and if he just sat there they'd die which he would never accept. At the start of the episode there was a flashback of Carla telling him to protect Mikasa so I think that links to that scene so as soon as she confessed/gave him that boost of confidence he realized that he still had a reason to fight which is to protect Mikasa 😭😭😭 aint that the sweetest thing ever!!! Can't wait for you to react to the new loose unit aka surfer boi as Ange called him😂😂 You'll love S3! It's a legendary season!

Hearing him break down down like that feels too real. The emotion comes off so genuine. I had the same reaction as Carlie my first time watching it and even watching it again it’s hard to not feel the same. Then Mikasa’s little speech 😭❤️ and Erens response “I’ll wrap that around you, as many times as you want now and forever” ALL the feels this episode!! This is one of my favorite episodes of the series and still they only get better.

AOT is really well written and always keeps you on edge and wondering. I binged season 3 and 4 in probably 1 week because there's cliff hangers 24/7 and I can't deal with it.
