It's almost entirely a series of rich, emotional payoffs to character arcs that you are so far kept completely in the dark about. Once you've seen more of this show, season 2 is imo the most satisfying to rewatch, everything comes together and makes SO MUCH more sense.

Also episode 12 of season 2 is my personal favorite in the whole series because of the shock and emotions AND because of the affect it has on the rest of the world-building in season 3 or 4, so I can't wait to watch your reaction soon!!!

Ymir's love and sacrifices for the others are underrated. She is a badass queen!!

His appearance caused the first victory over the titans in their history and also sparked a titan v Titan man hunt against him. Erwin understands that if they lose Eren here, humanity within the walls will crumble. He doesn’t necessarily know anything more that anyone else.

Especially now they know that there are titan shifter enemies too, if they lose Eren, it's over. Just look at Annie, the scout literally couldn't do anything to her without Eren.

He couldn't hear more and he just snapped at Reiner like bro wth are you talking about x)
