I think Encanto would be something to watch?

Cyber

They are all favourites 😂😂. This is why: Matrix set new standarts in visuals at the time. They invented "bullett time" as a feature. Also the Wachowskis idea of reality is mindblowing. Alien and Aliens established Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) as maybe the first female blockbuster action hero and therefore lay path for all the powerwomen that came later. I like that they have a completely different style. Alien being a more classical monster horror/thriller movie but in space. Aliens really goes for action and effects. Gladiator is just epic. Ridley Scott simply knows how to do it. Love Russell Crowe and the early Joaquin Phoenix in their roles. AND it has some of the best quotes in movies ever. "I'm Maximus..." being my all time favourite... 🤩 I really can't choose a number one here. And I completely forgot about M. Night Shylamalan. Sixth Sense and Signs are great. Although Sixth Sense just works the first time you see it (nice brain f@#k 😉). You watched every movie except 300 then?

MasterOfPuppets

I (Ange) haven’t actually seen 300! Nice choices. What’s your favourite on this list of yours? Carlie may have seen majority of them already!

As animes are covered pretty well and I guess you already watched plenty of the new and popular stuff. This is why I'm bringing in the old stuff that was new when I was your age. Matrix, Alien, Aliens and Gladiator are classics for me that everybody should have watched. A very stylish movie is "300". Maybe some of them are new to and of interest for you. Especially if you would like to set a counterpoint to the already heavy anime part of the channel. Not that I think this needs to be done of course! ☝️😉

MasterOfPuppets

Ughhh we’ve already seen them unfortunately!!

Carlie & Ange

Most likely you watched this already but just in case I'll leave it up anyways. Fast and furious movie series I would recommend, out of all movies I watched so far I think it kept me hooked all the way. It's a very good series

Thanks for all the suggestions so far everyone!! ❤️❤️

if either of you guys are into cinematography, I highly recommend Children of Men. This movie is famous for its long shots. They film some scenes lasting up to 10-15 minutes all in one take. For a certain car chase scene they had to take the roof off of a car and build a rail system above/inside it so they could film the whole scene in one shot just turning the camera around inside the car, the actors had to lower their seats and lie back while the camera was above them and then sit back up again to continue acting in the scene when it turned around. Beyond the cinematography its just a brilliant movie anyway, dark and violent, but filmed from a perspective of hope and pacifism. The hero never picks up a weapon.

We have! It was fantastic

woooo excited!

Kimi no na wa is a great anime movie also known as “your name”

First of all, I think you guys are way too cool for skool. I like your banter, the all too short jokes and jibes you share like when Angie believes something Carlie hypothesises about and they both find out its wrong and she laughs, or Angie's smooth side-eye at Carli as he praises the moustache on the league of legends reaction. Those seemed to be cut too short :) maybe as a Jellie there's more to be seen there. I checked out youtube to be sure, and I dont see "The Matrix" have you seen that? I think that would be a good one for you guys. I can almost see both of you cosplaying an intepretation after seeing it. As far as anime. since I am old school, See if you can get your hands on the Aeon Flux shorts from the old MTV Liquid television- silent for the most part. When they got talky they started to suck. But the silent ones were all asian surealist samurai boshido type mood vibe. Another suggestion if you're into a marvel series vibe- its a long one but I liked S.H.I.E.L.D.

Have you two seen the movie Train to Busan?

Jean-Luc Baca

If you haven't seen princess mononoke that's a fave of mine :) at 2 hr 13 min

Rachel Titsch

Nausicaa of the valley of the wind. Older anime movie but a silent voice would also be great

Skittles And Strawberry Milk

Weathering with You. Anime movie, visuals are stunning and the story is really good, it could be slow paced but I very much enjoyed the movie as a whole. District 9 is a very interesting psyfi movie about aliens coming to earth, but the plot is not really what you think it is, it's told like a documentary and its not really like an invasion type movie, but it focus more in politics and social problems.

It seems as though a large portion of your fan base are anime enthusiasts, so it might be beneficial for you and the viewers to go that route. “A Silent Voice.” A very well written script. The director/animators clearly portrayed it through the animation. Definitely a good one. “your name” is also amazing as well. You can’t go wrong with any of the Hayao Miyazaki films as he was pretty much the pioneer of story telling through meta narrative! Mystical/fantasy genre with great underlying messages primarily focused on humanistic values and emotions! I know you are asking us what we want to see, and I may be speaking for myself here, but I love watching reaction videos where you guys are picking something you are excited to watch as well. It shows in your videos for sure!

Alex

One of my Favorite movies! Would be my recommendation too!

Jean-Luc Baca

Ghost in a Shell or Alita Battle Angel. Both are live action movies adapted from anime/manga and are fantastic!

I would love to see you guys watch some of my favorite movies of all times by Hayao Miyazaki, a legendary Japanese animator. He has produced many iconic films including Spirited Away, Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, My Neighbor Totoro, Princess Mononoke, Howl's Moving Castle, Castle in the Sky, etc. These are all great films to pick from! None of these will disappoint!
