Is it possible that CAPS is the only gamer I ever saw on stage in an opening getting hyped by the athmosphere and showing it (even though just a little bit)? 😂 They usually have this look of "I do this stage stuff twice a week, so nothing special happening here".. 😂😂😂 Seems to be a kind of LoL-Haka to show no emotions to the opponents. 😉 Anyway, I loved to see someone let it go (a little) .. 👍

So Rookie and caps both lost important matches with irelia and lissandra but the most symbolic one is faker with karma, his team lost in the worlds finals in 2017 because of a missplay from faker in the final game were he played karma.. you see him in the video in a press conference surrounded by reporters because back in 2017 it was a big shock that he lost so their was a lot of pressure from the press back then...And the song phoenix is all about facing your fears and rebirth from your ashes like a phoenix, face your mistakes and don't fail this time, are you gonna die today or make it out alive... for the 3 players it means a lot, and the worlds is their chance to take back their mistakes (this is also why they faces a dark clone of them in the video)...I am a big fan of the lol competitive scene and there is so much story hidden behind the worlds song i wanted to share this one with you all ❤️

Great reaction as always. Here's some strory about the song phoenix that you reacted to...so as you know worlds song often picture pro players in them but it doesn't just include them to look cool. it actually tells a story about competitive league history in each of them and the phoenix one is really nice. We have 3 players paired with 3 champions : Rookie ( guy in the metro) with lissandra, Caps with irelia and Faker (the goat) with karma. Now those champions were not chosen at random. they each represent one big failure in every 3 of the players career.

This was the closest a Western team has come to winning worlds since season 1 I believe. This version of G2 so far is the best western team ever assembled. Ever since season 1 nobody from NA or EU has been able to get past semi-finals other than them. Plus it was played in Europe so it was dope to see G2 get this far in front of a home crowd. The finals weren't close tho...

The midlaner for FPX is called DoinB and he credited his victory to his wife who travelled to EU for the tournament. He said he got a big "wife buff" and thats why they won.

Man, the violins swelling up as the trophy reveals itself will always give me goosebumps. It doesn't matter if you care about professional League or not, it's hard not to get caught up in all of the excitement that these events provide.

I forgot just how amazing this opening ceremony was. When Riot are on their game its such an amazing spectacle. And yes I have to agree with Ange when he says Irelia is a cool character.

2 things. I'm a Karma main Ang, and I forgive you. Also Riot made an incredible documentary about the behind the scenes of creating this world's ceremony called "10 months, 10 minutes." Some people have reacted to it, but I also think it's fine if you wanted to watch it on your own. Also om the esports side this was Europe's super team "g2" and this was our greatest chance so far to win another worlds championship and to do it in Europe. Sadly it didn't happen but leading up we all thought it was finally the time

Gosh so much to say 😅 the case is louis vuitton and is amazing up close, it actually wasn't working thr morning of the show there is a great "making of" for this whole show on YouTube which is well worth the watch, explains the knife dances and how they rehersed it all. My second must say is about Chrissy Costanza, she's a great artist by her own rights in a band called "against the current" but she has always played and been a fan of league and has been around for yeeeears and is very loved in the community, her worlds song is "legends never die" and is alot of people's favourite next to "rise"

Yeah, it won't get better than this I fear (at least at this time, lets wait what 2022 may bring). 2021 is great as well but it can't really be compared, because it wasn't live and it has the Arcane factor of course. I love 2017 and Legends never die as well. You should really watch it but it can't reach this level. I wish someone had suggested to watch 2017 before this.. 😉😉 When you watch 2021 keep in mind it aired before Arcane. No one knew what was coming at this point! Not in detail I mean.. 😉 Damn, another highlight has passed with this 😪
