2025-11-03 23:03:21 +0000 UTCI know it got a lukewarm reception from many, but I maintain that Falcon & the Winter Soldier is a great series, and one of the best of the D+ entries. Fantastic work showing Sam rising into the role of Captain America, Bucky's arc hits so hard, John Walker has a great introduction and setup as a morally conflicted character. It's not perfect: I think Karli's progression is the major issue it has, feeling like she dives into outright villainy too rapidly. I think her (accidentally) murdering Lemar should've been her first time actually killing anyone, with that then leading to rapid escalation from John's retaliation, etc, and episodes prior to that focusing on the good (but outside the system) work she does.
