Its funny that you said it doesnt feel like a fast and furious movie because thats how i feel about the first 3. The series has changed so much since then that rewatching them gives me that feeling. Even though its absolutely correct for you to say that

They had to get the train back on the rails and bring the Fast Family back together after 2 and 3 went off in random directions. That said, yeah it gets more and more "awesome action flick with cars" instead of "fun racing flick" as the franchise goes on. The theme of "ride or die family" also intensifies, so look forward to that!
