also with the "what do kids have to be sad about" thing with depression, if you are young and depressed, and someone says its all downhill from here, whats the first thing you think? "i dont want to go downhill any more than i have." so its not only dismissive and objectively a poor stance to have, its also actively damaging to young minds with depression. Especially when it comes to younger people nowadays, where they are practically raised to have no hope for the future because of how hyper aware of the world they are, then they get social media and they get hyper aware of how the world views them. It's all round a bad time for anyone currently under the age of like 25-30, people just cope with it in varying degrees. anyways sorry for sad rant lmao

I already felt really bad just from the very start but hearing Takopi asking why this had to happen hurt so much as someone who both was suicidal i fourth grade and as someone who has lost multiple people to suicide. what a first episode for an anime
