Jacksonville
Added 2017-12-15 05:31:34 +0000 UTCLast leg of this trip. I was on Amelia Island last night, worked there this morning, and I’m now in an Airbnb in Jacksonville.
And I spent over an hour on the phone because of family dramatics (the holidays bring out the best in everyone), and now I’m finally preparing for bed. But, despite that, today was wonderful and I’ll be working on Photos tomorrow as well as doing a quick journal update as well. And I’m trying to organize all the travel photos too! So there’s that.
Also, just because I’m excited about this! Today I saw the Pippi Longstocking House (I have a photo too!), and I also found out that while styrofoam is technically safe to put in a microwave, it is not good because the microwave heat will not destroy it but the heat of the liquid or food contents in the microwave will actually melt the styrofoam. Random fact of the day.

2017-12-19 01:32:54 +0000 UTCActually I think Styrofoam is only microwave safe if eating Styrofoam is safe ? I say stay away from any plastic as well - in a microwave. I try to use stoneware, pyrex - something like that ? Of course duration is vitally important - with microwave ovens ? You survived unscarred I take it ? ~ safe cooking !
