Updated travel folder

https://www.dropbox.com/sh/g7hzecmv09xmtic/AAC5Yi7K93ihrocn9gpOdtVEa?dl=0 I realized going through photos today and deciding what to include in the folder that I take too many photos - random cups of coffee, photos with my cats, the food I had at a little Cuban cafe in Miami where I couldn't order for myself and had no idea what I was about to receive, reflections in windows, downtown Baltimore where it looks like an actual bomb went off, streetlights at night, and on and on. I constantly run out of memory space on my phone because of it.

Today I've been preparing for my trip to Oklahoma City and Dallas - for which I leave Friday. I bought oatmeal and dried fruit, granola bars, and, as usual, my favorite candy - Welches fruit snacks! I also have real fruit, and packs of stove top mashed potatoes. When it comes to food, I'm often bad at be an adult about food. I eat what I want for the most part, I just started make sure not to eat too many calories. When I was younger (15-20) I was a pretty militant vegan, which is a little-known fact about me. I wouldn't eat baked goods and mostly subsisted on rice, vegetables, edamame, and tofu. And a lot of coffee and things like hemp milk. I didn't even eat nuts, seeds, of vegan substitutes cause I thought they were too high in fat...a low fat vegan diet is the best way to be cranky 24/7/365 that I have ever found. Times five years, and I was not ever in a good mood.

I became vegetarian when I was twenty, and I ate so much cheese it was actually ridiculous. And baked goods! I ate things like biscuits and gravy again, toast with butter, chocolate chip cookies - normal chocolate even. Ice cream. I could use butter to cook with. I actually ate a bit too much for a couple of years - thankfully my metabolism is pretty decent so nothing happened that seriously affected my health. I've done a lot of weird food things honestly...I was anorexic before I became vegan and I think veganism actually did help me in that I thought about food differently. I've been vegetarian, I tried paleo and ended up with horrible headaches - though I still love paleo chili and meat recipes. Now I just eat too much candy every now and then haha...drink too much coffee, I like bread too much maybe. I love butter and fancy chocolate. Steak. I should take more photos of food...or maybe I shouldn't be that person.

Comments

Thank you so much...I'd noticed this the other day when I was cuddling with my cats and took some photos. For whether you can take too many photos, I'd say no. My storage level on my iphone would say yes haha.

Your musings are so human and your honesty refreshing - I enjoy reading your posts. I like this picture too - how the shadow of the window is aligned perfectly in the mirror is just one nice detail - it has depth both visually and emotionally. Can one really ever take too many photos?
