Jeffrey Katzenberg had it cut, but Brian Henson managed to have it included on the VHS. It was cut from every subsequent release until they had it opt-in on Disney+.

So that one song, "When love is gone" was a deleted scene?? When it first came up in this video I was so confused because I didn't remember it all, despite having watched this movie annually as an X-mas tradition when I was younger.
I just assumed I'd utterly failed to retain it because the scene was pretty much void of Muppet-characters.

Disney is so under-utilizing the muppets, they need to "cast" them in rolls for stuff. Nothing main character or anything but like have Rizzo be a guy Spider-man buys a hotdog off of or Miss Piggy is a late night host when they scroll through channels on TV. Would be cool, be a great way to throw in jokes, and we get to see muppet characters more.

Good choice, my extended family has made it a tradition to watch this movie with the young ones once every year. I am glad to see you watched the complete version. Some of them cut out Belle's song, which is a travesty in my opinion.
Two related movie suggestions.
The 1999 version of the Christmas Carol featuring Patrick Stewart as Scrooge. It's not funny like this, but it's much closer to the original material and a very powerful performance.
The man who invented Christmas, which is a very interesting retelling of the writing of this tale. Charles Dickens goes through the wringer.

I have seen many versions of A Christmas Carol (this version, the Jim Carrey version, Mr. Magoo, the Flintstones, and even one starring Mickey Mouse)
I know you already reacted to one version of A Christmas Carol, but react to Mickey’s Christmas Carol (it is one of my favorite variations of the story).
Also, please react to the original Grinch animated special or at least the Rankin-Bass specials (I realize there are so many, but it is okay if you do those next December if you want)

Well the thing is, the ghosts of past, present and future only visited Scrooge because Marley convinced them to, Marley didn't want Scrooge to suffer the same fate he had, so he begged the spirits to try and change Scrooge before it was too late.

This one was fun, but I think the two iterations I love of A Christmas Carol is the Disney Christmas Carol (For Nostalgia), and the one with Jim Carey that was made back around the 2010's (Cuz they hold nothing back and the spirits are crazy Good!).

So glad you watched the version with the song. Katzenberg had it cut from the theatrical release 'cause he thought it was too sad for kids, but it's so much the emotional core of Scrooge's life. That duet section is perfection.
Seconding the person who recommended Christmas Carol Goes Wrong. Honestly, any Mischief Theatre production, they seem like Alicia's type of thing.

For this movie, Michael Caine insisted in treating all the muppets as fellow human actors so he can be an 'actor of method', mes ing he wont look at the camara on the songs and all that human-muppet they usually do, so he slways looked at the mupoets directly when speaking, and this is why is the 2nd best muppet movie, only behind of treasure island of the muppets, in which Tim Curry insisted in being treated as a fellow muppet, which means on most songs he look at the camera and is always halfway off-screen just like all the muppets

A bit of BTS stuff about this film. It was the first thing they made following Jim Henson's passing and his son was at the helm of the production. Because the movie was a sort of memorial to Jim Henson they and all the crew put in like 110%.
It is why the film itself is so solid everyone was putting their heart into bringing it to life. It is partly why its considered one of the best adaptions of the story.
Also gotta appreciate at the end of the film Gonzo encourages the watchers to read the book for themselves.

Didn't get far in reaction and i hear "some of them look demonic" or something like that.
If you want to see demonic looking muppets, check The Dark Crystal movie. It was made by Jim Henson, creator of muppets but has darker tone AND GOOD LORD that movie has amazing looking puppet, muppet... things in it! It even got series made in Netflix! It was great looking, but then Netflix discontinued it...and year later showed Cuties....why?...
Also, since The Dark Crustal was called:

Michael Kaine and Tim Curry (Muppet Treasure Island) were definitely the best costars for the Muppets. Best description I ever heard was: Michael Kaine did great because he treated the Muppets like people. Tim Curry was great because he treated himself like a Muppet.

I feel like you either have to go in blind or know the story well and pick up on all the little things (like the ghost of the present having a bad memory of the past and not looking to the future) to appreciate this film. If you rewatch and look deep into things it becomes even better.
