If Luffy dropped everything and made a beeline for Ace every time that Vivre card started burning down, he’d be going in circles for the entirety of the anime. They are out at sea putting their lives on the line, which means sometimes you almost die. You can’t worry about it every time. Second, did you just make a whip noise at Hancock after her traumatic backstory about being a slave 😔😔😔

Luffy isn’t one to “Demand” anything. He may give orders to his crew in times of need, but most of the time, he just Asks/makes requests. hancock’s hatred of men comes from her bast with the celestial dragons and their obsession on doing whatever the hell they want, not caring about who they step on. This gives hancock her reasons to want power/control over herself and her people, she HATES people why try to control her; but Luffy isn’t a controlling person; he gave Hancock a Choice/options; he’s requesting something of her while also letting her keep control. THAT, is why Hancock loves Luffy so much. He doesn’t judge with I’ll intentions, nor does he seek control. That is what Hancock hates about most, if not all men.

I personally ship Luffy and Margaret more than Luffy and Hancock. I don't know... i think they got more chimestry, and also Margaret is much more age-appropriate for Luffy since she's only one year younger than him, unlike Hancock who is 29.
