Fwiw, Iris approximately the same age as Megumin: Iris' birthday is only a little over 9 months after Megumin's. So although the Iris/Kazuma age gap is slightly larger (4 years, 2 months, and 30 days versus Megumin's 3 years, 5 months, and 27 days), it's not really worth complaining about if you've already dismissed Megumin's.

Obviously the age thing is SUPER weird, however Kazuma has no real interest in her... He just likes the idea of having a princess like him. In spite of it all, Kazuma is not a pedo, he is literally a 16 year old kid

6:10 Actually Chris/Eris does trust in Kazuma, she said it before as Eris. I'm not sure why...because he's, well...you know..

It’s been a hot minute since I read the novel. But I believe originally, these characters were supposed to be in their 20s. Emphasising the “relatable scummy losers” vibe.
But for Japanese market reasons, they got changed in later releases

Clearly she is 80 and he is only a modest 160

So. In my eyes, like, Iris having a little crush on Kazuma just feels like that of a child telling a grown up they want to "mawwy them when they're grown up", like, its cute and harmless. He's the first person to ever treat her like a person so like, it makes sense to me. In that same breath tho, Kazuma wanting Iris to fall for him is creepy and fuckin weird he a grown-ass man frfr but he's also our weird pathetic shut-in degenerate loser so I mean at this point it's to be expected of KazuTrash lmao

Somehow Aqua is becoming a bigger alcholic each new episode and I didn't even know that it was possible.
