But hollywood and whatnot uses bright red, usually reserved for arterial spray. I don't remember what causes it, but I remember learning in First Aid that if it's bright red, you need a hospital, stat.

The fact that they gave you hush money would be added proof that they know they did something wrong if they ever tried to take it back when you didn't "hush". And even if you fail, its gonna leave a huge shit stain on their public image.
