In the gloamy orange light
you won't live to see the night
In the woods you hear a whisper
Could it be the Phantom Drifter?
There's a chance you went n' missed her
Just don't turn around...
In a flash she's there behind you
Out of sight and out of mind
And now no one will ever find you
Buried six feet down...

Staring at the sundown
A green flash of memory
In the lambent light I spy
My pa, my ma, and me

We were diggin’ for a dino
‘Neath a sunny morning sky, though
Lookin’ back now only I know
What it’s gonna be…

From the dirt and bone and rock
They unearthed that golden box
And the Banzais came a-crawlin’
What they did then was appalling’
Golden hunger ever-callin’
Needing to be fed
And those yellow-bellied cowards
Saw that ma ‘n pa were showered
With a lead rain and the flowers
Were a blooming red

Summers full of sundowns
Winters flew by like the leaves
Little girl grew up alone
And learned to shoot the breeze

Moved from drillin’ on to killin’
Made her livin’ as a villain

Someone said “Your gun misguided”
Had a fight that was one-sided
Eye-to-eye they both Kaleid-ed
Came down to the wire…

She’s a demon… she’s a devil…
Finally someone on her level
Found a bass to match her treble
Now she comprehends
And the dawn, she starts to brighten
Finally knows why she is fightin’
On her own she was a titan
Now she’s among friends…
