StiB Danny Phantom Background WIP + Updates
Added 2017-05-16 00:43:32 +0000 UTCWorking hard on StiB Danny Phantom! I'm about 40s in and doing another ~20s every work day. It's nice to get back in the swing of this. I haven't actually sat down and drawn one of these myself since August (aside from storyboarding)!
In other news:
- For anyone who follows my ongoing tabletop series Anime Campaign, the episode 6 live stream is tentatively going down on Sunday the 28th.
- The next Tip of the Tongue episode will be going up soon. The topic of the month is "Project Management."
- My sister is back home and I will be commissioning her to compose an original theme for the StiB series instead of just using the Glitzville theme from Paper Mario TTYD.
- StiB Danny Phantom will likely be going up early June. I'd love to get it up in May but that's pretty much impossible as long as I've got Nuco running on the side.
- Important update for Patrons: I'm thinking of changing the reward tiers in regards to the StiB Poll. Instead of having the voting tier locked away in the $10/month tier, I'm going to move it to $1/month and have a separate vote for the $10/month patrons. The high-tier poll will have a x10 vote count so that the extra money for access is still justified, but the $1/month poll will make it so that everyone gets a say.
I think this will be a good way to incentivize new backers so that we get an influx of donations after the Danny Phantom video goes up. More donations means more animators and therefore more videos and I'd really love to get the pipeline flowing.
At my current rate of production while managing all my projects single handedly it takes about 5 weeks to make a StiB which is just too slow for my taste. After Danny Phantom is finished I'll be hiring a second artist for whatever June's video will be regardless of Patreon backing simply because I need to get this ball rolling, even if that means sinking most of my earnings into it for consistant output.
Feedback on this change is encouraged! I don't want any of you guys to feel cheated.
