Thank you all for being so patient with me while I get my health back together 🤍

For those who are curious, here is a bit more information on what's going on. It's a long story.

I was on a medication that was working very well for my conditions, but unfortunately had some side effects that I could not tolerate. After talking with my doctor, we decided to come off this medication and try a similar medication instead. This new medication (I'll call it med #2) requires me to up the dose very slowly over the course of 8 weeks to lower the risk of getting a severe, life-threatening side effect. This means that for the first few weeks I won't feel any beneficial effects of med #2 at all due to the low dose.

So there I was, feeling horrible from coming off of the first med, and not getting beneficial effects from the second med. But it didn't stop there. A few weeks into starting med #2, I started to get the severe side effect that we were trying to avoid! Luckily my doctor warned me of the symptoms, so I was able to stop it early before it progressed into something more serious. The symptoms have since went away, and at least I'm safe on that aspect.

Having stopped the medication, I had to get in contact with my family health team since my original appointment was booked for 8 weeks ahead. This has been incredibly frustrating! They only do same-day appointments, and requires the appointment to be booked on the same day. I tried calling in right as they open, but the call often does now go through due to high call volumes. By the time it does go through, all the appointments of the day would be full, and I would have to try again the next day. I kept trying for a whole week before I got an appointment with a nurse practitioner there. The appointment was basically "I'm not sure what to do next, I'll ask the specialist you're with when he comes in next week". It's since been two weeks and no one has called back. I should probably call them back, but I'm so tired of this process and I don't want to call for another week straight.

So, I've basically been without meds for two months and have felt horrible. I've been unable to do anything, including taking care of myself. It has been rough, especially when I felt so good on the medication before. This marks the 17th medication that I've tried now, I'm feeling so discouraged. I also feel abandoned and unvalued by my healthcare team, this isn't the first time that they promised to call back right away, then actually took weeks to get back.

Sorry for the rant there, but I felt that you deserve to know what's going on and what the delay is coming from. Thank you if you actually read till the end, I appreciate your love and support!!🤍🤍🤍
