FIRBOLG 1.5 IMPROVEMENTS
- Polished Firbolg Male & Female Heads
- 9 Female Firbolg Heads & 15 Male Firbolg Heads
- Changed Eye Texture they use to fit a more nature-aesthetic.
- You can now select your Spellcasting Ability for Detect Magic & Disguise Self.
- Firbolg Magic will now Default to Wisdom for their spellcasting ability, but this can still be changed to whatever Spellcasting Ability you want to select.
- Custom Animations have been added to give them a more unique feeling.
- Hidden Step obtained a visual overhaul. Fitting more with their nature-related lore.
- Private Parts Compatible! Meaning you can embrace the elements without being restrained by Green Underwear.
- 152 Vanilla Hair options to choose from.
- Height now fits actual Firbolg height compared to other Fantastical Races. (Not Included in Cutscenes)
Firbolg Magic
You can cast the detect magic and disguise self spells with this trait. When you use this version of disguise self, you can seem up to 3 feet shorter or taller. Once you cast either of these spells with this trait, you can’t cast that spell with it again until you finish a long rest. You can also cast these spells using any spell slots you have.
Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells when you cast them with this trait (choose when you select this race).
IMPLEMENTATION
100% Follows RAW as intended.
- Defaults to Wisdom, which makes it easier to start a quick build. Also gets around the RESPEC issue if you don’t have PLUS UI installed. If you have PLUS UI installed this won’t be a problem for you.
- If you RESPEC because of UI limitations not included in Improved UI it will default to Wisdom. An easy solution for this is to use PLUS UI, which covers RESPEC UI not allowing you to select passives.
Hidden Step
As a bonus action, you can magically turn invisible until the start of your next turn or until you attack, make a damage roll, or force someone to make a saving throw. You can use this trait a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
IMPLEMENTATION
100% Follows RAW as intended.
- Custom VFX to fit the nature lore that Firbolgs has.
- Custom VFX for Invisible to make it more unique still does everything Invisible does so mechanically nothing is changed.
Powerful Build
You count as one size larger when determining your carrying capacity and the weight you can push, drag, or lift.
IMPLEMENTATION
- Allows you to to push things that regular races couldn’t normally do without having Enlarge cast on them.
- Increases your carry weight without having to have Enlarge cast on you.
Speech of Beast and Leaf
You have the ability to communicate in a limited manner with Beasts, Plants, and vegetation. They can understand the meaning of your words, though you have no special ability to understand them in return. You have advantage on all Charisma checks you make to influence them.
IMPLEMENTATION
For this feature to fit as close as possible to RAW I did the following:
- Got Rid of PETPAL from the 1.0 version
- Provided Proficiency Bonus with Animal Handling & Nature
- Now when you are near creatures that are Tagged as Beast or Plant and aren’t in combat, you gain ADV on Charisma Checks.
