Underdark Spiral, Expert
Added 2024-04-14 15:16:57 +0000 UTCHi again! This one is the Underdark Spiral (30x30), a smallish cave with some serious changes of elevation. The layout draws your attention to the center, which I left empty for you to fill with your dramatic revelation of choice.
Your alternate variants of this map are Jungle and Eerie! The Jungle version felt like a natural choice for this map, a little overgrown cave in the jungle with a pit in the center strikes me as an excellent place for a pack of wolves/small dinos to make their den, and I think this color palette gets that vibe across nicely. The Eerie version came about because I felt this cave could definitely be spookier, I couldn't picture ghosts/zombies in any other the others I made which told me there was room for improvement. I filled the cave with a bit more mist and recolored the shadows to be a strange purplish color which gives me the impression that something isn't quite right here.
Anyway, I'm getting a little tired of all the plain ol' cave maps so I think I'll be moving on to more developed corners of the Underdark for the next couple weeks- look forward to it!
