Heya, everyone!
Hope you all enjoyed using the first two parts of Frostmist Mountain Feud in your own solo games.
My playtest for the third part of that series was interrupted by a very fun GMless pickup game I ran at the university I am teaching at.
I thought it would be fun to bundle some of the situational random encounter tables I used during that game for you. Who knows, it might even be nice to expand this booklet with more of these types of random encounter entries. Let me know!
The basic premise is simple enough, you just roll however many times you need to come up with an interesting situation in one of the locations of interest featured. These offer a nice combination of generic and specific elements in order to make them easy to use in your own games.
For example:
Underdusk Spider-City (location)
I roll up Fomorian Slavemaster (8), city slum (6), slave revolt (12), Enslaved topsider: goblin dungscraper (5).
Hmmm. Guess which oversized brute is getting dung thrown at him by dozens of dirty goblin hands? Must be payback for having to clean all that spider dung from the slums of the Spider-City... Will the PCs rally to the goblins' cause?
Anyway, enjoy the Stone King Badlands, Underdusk Spider-City, and the Wandering Faire!
Cheerio,
John
