Heya, everyone,
How are you all doing? Hope you all enjoyed some of the solo setups in Mythic Starters VI!
I really enjoyed participating in a small physical game jam last week where we all got together and brainstormed about narrative structure in games (sadly, just before the Netherlands went into semi-lockdown again...)
A fun subject for sure, and something that interests me very much! My jam contribution was a fun little experiment trying to use the Fichtean component of rising/falling action as a solo game structure, mixed in with the bullet-point-brainstorm technique.
Although I wasn't completely satisfied with it, I do like the way worldbuilding spins off from repeating the cycle and generating new problems that stand in the way of goals to achieve and attaching persistent problems to setting features.
Anyway, have fun giving Fichtean Cycle a whirl in your own games!
Cheerio,
John
